Re: Animated Toys
I read they plan on releasing Animated Arcee, Rodimus, Blackout, Cybertron mode Ratchet, a repaint of Soundwave (with Ratbat), a repaint of Bumblebee (aka Fugitive Wasp)
I think they are going to be released as in the "universe" toy line

Re: Animated Toys
They will all be store exclusives eventually. Theres no set release date at the moment but we have been 'promised' that they'll be available eventually.
{When I say 'promised' I mean in such small numbers that they'll quickly become an ebay exclusive with the prices jacked up by 200% :hit: bloody scaplers. Or even not at all }

Re: Animated Toys
When I began buying the Animated toy line, I did not open any of them.
It wasn't util I bought my LAST Animated figure. Then I spent a day untwisting the blasted twist ties.
You can view what I have in my collection pics or just check out the Cybertron Archives - Animated data base.
Once I opened them all and played with them for a bit. I could not believe how cool these were.
Some are kinda shotty, but every patch of apples has a spoiled one in there somewhere.
Collecting the Animated toys was the first time I collected figures from a series while the series was still on TV.
They are some of my favorite TFs.

Re: Animated Toys
I agree that some animated figures are very cool.
Few weeks ago I've bought and opened Animated Swindle and in robot mode, for his cartoonish style,is a very good figure to display.
Besides his face and a lot of details remind me the old G1 character in toon version.
At the moment I have only him but I absolutely want to buy other Tfs from this line.

Re: Animated Toys
Here is a bad rumor i have read from www.seibertron.com....
Thank you for contacting Hasbro, Inc. regarding the Transformers Animated Blackout and Thundercracker. We appreciate your interest in our company and products.
Regrettably, both products have recently been discontinued. We are, therefore, unable to assist you in identifying retail markets which may still have this product in inventory nor do we have any available for direct sale.
Although they are no longer in our current product line, you may still be able to find them in retail stores. Some of the retail stores that carry Hasbro products include Toys R Us, Wal-Mart, Kmart, and Target.
We apologize for any inconvenience. We hope you and your family will enjoy Hasbro products for many years to come.

Re: Animated Toys
So, Blackout and 'Cracker are out there somewhere in limited quantities soon to be scalped on evilBay with Buy-It-Now's of "Your first born child"? And, are you talking about the Activators Cracker or did they make a big 'un?

Re: Animated Toys
Finally got a Sentinel Prime and Swoop on clearance. Sent's not bad, I don't like how the plow looks in bot mode. Swoop kinda sucks. I got a bad mold, too. His chest is a little wonky, head pops off, missing a paint app on his left shoulder.

Re: Animated Toys
Yeah, neither one of my SW's chest fronts snap in properly. Still, I think overall the Ani's are FAR superior in the quality department compared to the movie toys. The few movie toys I have gotten are mostly crap. Loose with shotty paint apps, molding problems, crap falling off.

Re: Animated Toys
the problem with newer TF's compared to G1 is they got more moving parts.
Transformation is usually harder and crap falls off. Good thing for ball-joints.
