In began with this one, nice, very complex transformation, downside, engine hood/bonnet is rather loose, as I don't like having his gun in hand, he keeps is attached to his arm:


TFA Shockwave, about my favourite Shockwave toy because of the fact he can pose as a double agent and be the Heroic Longarm prime, plus he got great articulation and next to no kibble:



One thing DOTM Shockwave did for the character in media, is give him a large cannon for his arm along with the restoration of the cable to his back!



This one is the only third party Shockwave I got and he small but considering he was more or less a freebie when I got my second Crossfire 2 kit, he pretty nifty:



Prime Shockwave: the toy, rates about my second favourite Shockwave, first being TFA of course, but he pretty nice in robot mode, not a huge fan of his alt mode or those things he came with, this by note, is the Takara Shockwave, not the Hasbrow one:

they haven't made a shockwave yet that I like.

Then your a tough customer, Ravage, in terms of pleasing, there's another third party figure out there that does the G1 look but I'm not bothering with that!

Quakewave is on my list to buy. I only got the G1 right now I really like him. Hes one of my favorite G1s

o yeah I forgot about quakewave.......he is nice ...I would love to have a deluxe size one of those.

Quakewave is NOT on my list to buy! For a Deluxe Shockwave, there's only one choice, which is FOC Shockwave, he not to bad a figure, weird space cannon alt mode thou!

FOC Shockwave is awful to me..... I have it and if I ever get a better shockwave that one is going in the trash. but to each his own.

FOC isn't that bad, in fact he is a pretty nifty figure, besides if you ever do find a Shockwave you like, the ones you don't like should be used to fund future buys!

I feel the same way. It's too small to scale well in a CHUG (Classics) collection. Should have been a Voyager that way they could have packed more details into the trim work.

I couldn't get 5 bucks for it prolly...isn't worth my time.... plus I pulled the wings off of it and threw them away when I got it cause shockwave isn't supposed to have wings.

I take it that your one of those G1 purists, Ravage? (anything that doesn't look G1, isn't expectable)

you have a tendency to pull propellers off of airplanes and wings off of Shockwaves.
I can only imagine what you do to house flies.

im a g1 cartoon purist.  if it doesn't look like the character in the cartoon I don't like it. but that is just my way of collecting.  I don't bash anyone for liking something I don't because all people collect for different reasons.  And yes galvy I will take off parts or do other things to make a figure look more like I want it.  doesn't bother me a bit.  I have done that to figures and tried to make them better and it has gone bad and I just throw it away.  if im not happy with it its gone.  and yes shockwave doesn't have wings cause hes not a fuckin airplane or whatever the hell that foc figure is supposed to be(still haven't figured that out).

Shockwave don't need wings

A flying cannon, that's what FOC Shockwave is meant to be, it kind of beats the G1 cannon look in my view because with the G1 its like he meant to be held, yet in the cartoon is makes little sense aside from being a defensive unit! Where's the flying cannon means you can take the power to the enemy on the frontlines and blow a few holes!

megatron was the same way so its not that crazy.  plus it was made for kids so they could hold it for more play action.  have you ever seen the episode 'revenge of bruticus' cause bruticus holds shockwave in his hand and shoots him.  plus mine wont fly anywhere cause his wings are in a landfill somewhere.

I think I seen the ep once but I haven't gone back and rewatched G1 in ages, to be honest, most of season 2 kind of forgettable to me, the early parts of season 2 is what I recall the most with a few eps from season 3, of course the movie is unforgettable! Anyway, the Fansproject Shockwave that I got, (the mini one) he can do the Bruticus thing, with the Fansproject Bruticus, I suspect this third party that's developing a larger scale Bruticus, it might be able to do the hold Shockwave with FOC, thou it would need to be worked on I suspect, but that's just guess work!
