IDW Spotlight
It looks like Trailcutter (aka: Trailbreaker) is getting an issue next! I freaking love the cover art on this series!
Re: IDW Spotlight
^^^ that's also the new Transformers: Prime, Beast Hunters Trailcutter we're getting soon too. Well....what the cover art is based on.
Re: IDW Spotlight
Thundercracker, Megatron, Bumblebee, Orion Pax are also on the list for upcoming issues. I thought this series died off after Prowl. I'm glad to see it makeing a comeback.

If you still have your collection handy, Galvatron, I'd love to see a album cover spread (pictorial) in this thread! The cover art in this series is nothing short of beautiful.
Re: IDW Spotlight
Beautiful artwork on this issue! Fucking amazing! Notice Sixshot going in for the kill shot?
Re: IDW Spotlight
it was his 6th attempt. I can do some cover art pics of my Spotlight collection. When I get around to it.
Re: IDW Spotlight
Of all the spotlights, about the two I recall the most, are Shockwave's and Hot Rod's, the rest never really been that great, thou I did kind of like the resent Megatron spotlight! Of course, the four parter they did a while back, I felt that was a mistake, it hardly felt like spotlight focusing on the title character, instead just making story to bridge the gap between the end of one arc of IDW and the start of the All Hail Megatron series!

Re: IDW Spotlight
It's a great series.
I need to get the last six issues to make my collection complete

Re: IDW Spotlight
I want to see a spread shot once you get that last comic. Ironic that I'm waiting on the last issue of Regeneration One to come out this month, we're both "that" close to having a full run.
Re: IDW Spotlight
Problem is, Spotlight's don't have an ending. They just take long breaks between issues.
Spotlight Prowl was released in 2010. We didn't see the next Spotlight issue until Dec of 2012.
Each book "spotlights" a certain character and his/her story of a situation. They usually are fill-ins between other comic series. So the stories are scattered with no continuation of the "spotlight" series. But each story is great reading and great artwork.
Spotlight Thundercracker seems to be the most expencive right now. I did see a website that had it for $8 shipped.

That's not bad. You don't even wanna know what I paid for issue #80 of the G1 run.
Re: IDW Spotlight
Galvy, the spotlight comics are the side stories to IDW main ongoing time line with RID & MMTE, thus they take a peek at some of the more personal issues that would hinder the main story if they kept going onto those! Anyway, I think in the near future there's going to be some more spotlights coming, not sure about that, thou, I think at least one will feature this new character made up from the fan choice poll a while back, Windblade! Re: IDW Spotlight
I sure hope IDW continues with more Spotlight issues. I need some new reading material.
Does anybody know if/when new issues will be released?

Re: IDW Spotlight
There's no single spotlights on the horizon at the mo, however, there is the Windblade four issue series that's coming out in TP form shortly and a upcoming Drift series, Empire of Stone, I think its called, the current run of things is RID, MTME which both have the subtitle of Dawn of the Autobots and TF V Gi Joe which I can't be bothered with at the mo, just looking at the art work, its striking me as rather sloppy workmanship compared to other titles! Just so that you know, IDW, done a first, they haven't produced any comics related to AOE, YET, no prequels, no adaptations or sequels, I think the UK comic is making prequels but I lost interest in that as it tends to be rather crummy on the overall quality!

Galvatron wrote:is this series dead or put on the back burner?
I say dead as in Dirge dead, for now, as IDW got five TF series on the go, currently:
Transformers (formerly RID)
More Than Meets the Eye (Space adventures of Rodimus and lost light crew including Megatron)
Windblade vol 2 (ends with issue 7 but then the female TFs get their own ongoing series)
Transformers Vs Gi Joe (I'm not bothering with)
RID 2015 (based on the current cartoon, again, not bothering with)
