A few days late but anyways....

It's the series that started it all. Cars and trucks and jets change into giant robots!! How friggin awesome is that for any young child of the 80's. The top of the line toys were robots, cars, trucks and planes. What a great idea to make cars into robots. Now kids have 2 toys in one.

Nor must we forget the robots that not only transformed into cars and whatnot but locked together for a bigger robot, thus creating the combiners, also, not to mention, the beast formers, mainly the ones based upon creatures that no longer exist outside of bones, AKA the Dinobots! We mustn't forget the fact TF is the only 80s show to surive across mutable platforms of media across the globe even today, where's other brands have fallen to the way side, lost in the backwash of TF's sucess! Granted some are trying to make come backs but they just aren't doing as well, example: Gi Joe, sure its got comics in the US but walk down a toys isle in the UK and you will not find a single Gi Joe branded product anymore and that is a fact, I can't say about US toy isles but I suspect very similar sitution!

Anyway, belated Happy 31st Birthday TFG1 cartoon and many happy transforming returns!
