Marvel Crossovers Spiderman Iron Man combiner (21 pix)

Finally getting around to doing a proper review, especially since this one seems pretty hard to find info about. I kept seeing these at Wal-Mart in the clearance section, but with no price. I'd get it scanned, and the thing was always $35 bucks or so. I got these off eBay for $8 shipped. No destructions, though. I'm not a huge fan of the Crossovers (Marvel or Star Wars) as the quality seems a little cheap, even though it's not; and some of the robot modes do not look really great. If I ever get my toys unpacked, I'll add some more pix of these two with Captain America, Wolverine and Venom.

We'll start with Spidey. Kinda goofy robot mode, and I hate when TF's have kibble on their arms from their alt modes. The better of the two robot modes, IMO.







I really like the alt mode, but there's really nothing under the cockpit, which makes it seem a little off.









Iron Man's bot mode is very boxy, and hard to pose. His face is just kinda plain, too. I wish there were holes on his arms to attach his missile launchers, and that his wings folded up a little more.







The jet mode kicks ass, you can configure the wings a bunch of different ways.







Here's a pic with the wings open and the cockpit left open, like in his robot mode:



...and here's his wing with the launcher out. Hard to see the black missile.



The combined modes are decent, but Spidey just sorta piggybacks Iron Man. There's one little connector thingy that holds them together.









The combined robot mech mode thing is interesting, but a little back heavy. They shoulda' put some stabilizers on the back of Spidey's legs.





All in all, not a bad toy. Not worth $35 (to me anyway), but definitely worth $8!

Yes they were the single packs, my bad. Haven't seen ANY of those as of yet. I usually pass them by without a second glance as the robot modes are shit and don't represent the actual Marvel/Star Wars character well. The only one I've purchased is the single pack Darth Vader/Tie Fighter...he's accurately portrayed in both modes.

I thought about that one but settled on deathstar vader. the sith seem to have better robot modes tho....

Finally got around to getting some group pix, but I forgot about Venom until I re-read this thread. Also, I saw the Iron Man mold in all black the other day at the World of Wallace.

i have not paid much attention to the crossovers. But they are cool. Obviously.

I was wondering if they ever did a Batmobile TF crossover?

Nope. Batman is DC. Some company did make some transforming Batmobiles, but they were pretty lame.

figures. If I were to ever buy a crossover, that would be the one.
Except wonder woman's invisible jet. I have that. It transforms into the invisible Mirage. You should see. I would take a pic but my camera is broke.
