A damn shame..but Axl is a big primadonna..he is awful to be with. But agree..they rocked big time, I still like to hear their songs once in a while. My faves are Use your Illusion I+II

well i have a double edge to say on the matter. axl was a primadona but one hell of a business mind. he locked out all the other members from producing music for i think like 5 years. the early g&r was badass im not sure about this delusion that axl formed now........ he was a decent front man but didnt have much tallent the rest of the band did. there replacements are odd to say the least.

I think the members of G'n'R are doing just fine without Axle. Wink Velvet Revolver (Slash, Duff McKagen, Dave Kushner of G'n'R and Scott Weiland vocalist from Stone Temple Pilots) rocks hard! With tracks like "Slither", "Fall to Pieces" and "Set Me Free" they have definately established a name for themselves...Only hope they reunite as rumored in 2011.

Slash also has a self titled debut album out with original Appetite for Destruction G'n'R members Izzy Stradlin, Duff McKagen and Steven Adler. Lets hope they stay sober long enough to complete the tour...

I was unaware that Slash had the original GnR backup!
I knew he had guest vocalists on a lot of his songs. Ozzy being one of them.
Now I must go buy that cd

what an asshole! If it were not for that group of Slash, Izzy, Duff and Steve, GnR would not exist.
GnR is what MADE Axle. And that's he treats his fellow bandmates. Well, what comes around goes around.
the GnR band members are doing a hell of a lot better than the former front man now.
