Middle School Kids ROCK THE FUCK OUT to TOOL 46 +2 (MUST SEE!!!)
........Epic.......Jawdropping.....That Is All! They nailed it. The drummer is having his own little party, too. That kid is going to go places is he stays with it....

dude! That gave me goosebumps! Seriously! I'm amazed and so proud of those kids. They worked so hard and the reward is shown in that video. I believe all of those kids have a huge chance in the music industry. That drummer is going crazy!!! The bass player hit those strings with force on every note. The guitar players were perfect! That singer girl will go far with that voice. I hope she don't ruin it by getting involved in that Disney music shit. Perhaps another Amy Lee in our future. The piano and percussion group were perfect additions to make that song complete. Simply outstanding!! Even if this is not your style of music, just watch for a few seconds to see what we are talking about.
Top it off, that's one of my all time favorite Tool songs and those kids just made it better.
to each one of those kids. Thank you Sixshot for sharing that with us.

I bet I watched this at least a dozen times already! Instant fave. I'll see what else I can come up with in the youth dept. as far as heavy metal music goes. I love seeing kids succeed like that and also appreciate the quality music of our generation.

most kids that age don't even know who TOOL is.
I might do a Tool discography here on the Lair.

A Tool discography would be great! I also have more cover material by that school of gifted youngsters (Xaviers Academy), whenever you're ready to see more let me know. I see videos from AC/DC, RUSH, G'N'R, SHINEDOWN, PANTERA....and so on and so on.

indeed those are great songs. That teacher is really good on educating these kids.

I think Bat Country by Avenged Sevenfold might be my favorite overall track. It's spot on. I rank it right up there with 46 & 2 by Tool.Galvatron wrote:indeed those are great songs. That teacher is really good on educating these kids.

Ozzy Osbourne, "No More Tears" -performed by 21 kids (ages 5 to 16):
Re: Middle School Kids ROCK THE FUCK OUT to TOOL 46 +2 (MUST SEE!!!)
ok.. here is my thoughts on that one....
1) they got excellent talent and really close to sounding like the music.
There is no doubt these are gifted children with a tremendously great teacher. I wish I had a band teacher like that when I was in school.
2) the singer destroyed the song.
When singing an Ozzy song, you need to have that "Ozzy energy" The boy singing was lacking that energy. I know, he's young and has a lot of work to be done and one day he could very well be the next big thing in music. But I'm a huge Ozzy fan and listening to that kid sing ruined the song for me. It needed more vocal energy.

I like how the drummer dropped his sticks and picked them up and didn't miss a beat. That's a CHAMP right there! Singing on all of these could be better, but like you said, they're just kids and most of them don't have the vocal capacity to mimic the adult singers. I think the girl singing from 46+2 (hell that whole performance) still ranks as my favorite. This is just his newest upload.
