Re: Fall of Cybertron
OMFG! The anticipation of Metroplex, seeing him, wanting him...is going to make me pick up on Transformers collecting again. The awesome part is my wife thought Metroplex looked so awesome that she said she wanted me to have it and was willing to buy it for me. Doesn't get better than that, so looks like I am gonna have to start picking up some FOC figures now. Otherwise getting Plex would be pointless.
However I could get some Heroes of Cybertron figures to go with him, it would look cool and in better scale. Metroplex will be mine!

That's the route i'm taking. HOC looks good alongside my baseformers. They might even be more accuratly scaled with the new Metroplex.
Re: Fall of Cybertron
Scale, who gives a dam about Scale, I'll most likely use any old figure with him, but the legends class most likely to be the ones who operate off of him!

Just measured my Fortress Maximus and it's 22". The new Generations Metroplex is over 2 ft. tall.

Thing is I sold my HOC figures in the mid 2000s so now I gotta fin some, and from what I have seen they aren't cheap.

If you're serious, PM me...whatever happens afterwards though, I don't want to know about.
But anyways.....back on topic. Takara just dropped this bombshell tonight:
Prototype of their upcoming Trypticon. Thought at first this was going to be something from the Generations line to offset Hasbros Metroplex but....
EDIT: ...the more I look at this and compare it to my G1 Tryps, the more I think this is just going to be an Encore Reissue.
Re: Fall of Cybertron
I'm not going to get that, Metroplex will be my last big TF because I'm lacking space for some of my figures!

Re: Fall of Cybertron
Seeing as it's looking like an Encore version, and I already own the complete original, I'll be passing too. But I'd MAKE space for an updated Trypticon. Yes sir, I would! I bet Galvy's pissed he didn't wait on that double disc scanner. For a few bucks more he could have had the entire reissue.SuperOmegaPrime wrote:I'm not going to get that, Metroplex will be my last big TF because I'm lacking space for some of my figures!
:lol!:
Re: Fall of Cybertron
i thought Encore's were reissues of G1. That prototype has a lot of differences from it's G1 counterpart. Perhaps that's a 3rd party or CHUG.
After I got those reprolables, nothing can replace my G1 Trypticon. He just looks friggin awesome!!

Expect maybe a Titan class one that gets given a similar overhaul of stickers?

Re: Fall of Cybertron
....now that I've got to really studying the subtle differences, you're completely RIGHT! This is a different mold. Now my curiosity is really peeked! And this is a Takara product so it's official (not 3rd party). I'm hoping this will be part of the Generations line and will offset Hasbros Metroplex.Galvatron wrote:i thought Encore's were reissues of G1. Re: Fall of Cybertron
I wonder if this is just a retooling of the G1 mould, its hard to tell even going back and forth between an image of the G1 toy! Anyway, we have no idea if this will make it to production or proceed on its way to oblivion!

Re: Fall of Cybertron
let's hope it don't proceed to oblivion. I'm thinking it's going to be a CHUG so the CHUG Metroplex has a worthy enemy
