Re: Storms in the States.
I think we have had about 4 days of sunshine.. THIS YEAR!!
I have no real connection with the news source around here. I don't listen to radio much. All I hear are bands like Rush and Journey. I don't have any source of TV. I don't surf news on the internet. It gets in my way of porn-time LOL. So what kind of storms are we talking about that made news on your side of the pond Rumble?

Re: Storms in the States.
They had like 200 tornadoes in North Carolina within 3 days. Tornadoes destroyed a town here in Iowa. It threw a COMBINE like 100 yards away, tore someone's house off the foundation, then tossed their pickup truck into the exposed foundation. The owners said they were hiding only a few yards from where the truck landed in the basement. I saw pix of that on the national news.

Re: Storms in the States.
My state's (Arkansas) getting hit hard right now as I type this. Tornadoes touching down everywhere...cars getting blown off freeways...dams collapsing...you name it. Luckily it's all upstate.
Re: Storms in the States.
Jesus Christ!!!! WTF is going on? Hang in there RB. Let us know your status.
Re: Storms in the States.
So the ol' lady calls at about 4:00 a.m. Monday morning and tells me to get into the basement. No tornado, but I took some pix when the sun came up.
Backyard:
I have these two huge trees back there, luckily they stayed up, just lost a shitload of branches.
Yep, that was my pool.
I got off really lucky. The branches were up against my house, but no damage. I only had one shingle flip up on my shit-box of a garage.* Some others weren't so lucky. A couple people lost their garages, steel buildings were torn to shit, and check out this (formerly) huge ass elevator:
I guess there were 80-100 mph winds. It did this to the new multi-million dollar fucker they were building.
That new elevator (thing they keep corn in) was WAY taller than the tower deal that's still standing in front of it. The powere just came back on yesterday. I don't have a chainsaw to cut up the branches, and my damn truck's battery was dead from never driving it, so I just sat around all morning bored as hell, until the post office opened and got this box of awesome from a good friend!
So, about noon rolls around and a couple guys come around with a tractor and pulled all my limbs to the park where the town piled all their branches up. With all the big shit cleared out of my yard, I spent the rest of the day helping other people load their branches. Sorry for the big long rambling story with too many pictures!
*I wish that storm had taken down my crappy garage-I just switched to another insurance company. My old one wouldn't insure it.

Screw mowing it. It'll just blow away pretty soon! I kinda leave it shitty on purpose, it drives the lawn Nazi's on either side of me nuts.

Re: Storms in the States.
in a nutshell, oregon weather is
July-September = sun & rain
October-June = rain & rain

October-June = rain & rain
Re: Storms in the States.
Kind of like the whole of England then:
January - November: Rain.
November - January: Rain and a sprinkling of snow.
Then in the middle of the year we get 1 or 2 days of Sunshine which we call summer.

Re: Storms in the States.
Send some rain to Colorado, we don't get much. Just a bit of light snow this year except for one one storm with snow up to my knees.

I'll use my laser cannon and try to blast some clouds over to your direction Thrust.
Re: Storms in the States.
Dammit all we got was a bunch of wind from the blast. Maybe you could just send the rain makers next time.

Re: Storms in the States.
Ah, I see what happened, you blasted the cloud to hard and it passed by Colorado and hit Texas. You must not know your own strength.
