Transformers Prime

We can discuss what we think of the new TF Prime toys when they finally come out.

Has anyone picked up any of these yet. I don't know whether to spend the money on them or skip. I got the nycc exclusive but I didn't open it to see if I like them.

Didn't I start a Prime thread, too? I WILL own that Cliffjumper. I'll pick up the OP and Megs also, at least. The Bulkhead looks great as well.

Ok, I thought I'll dig up another old thread during my exploring/rummaging around of the site!

Of the prime toys, I gotten a hold of, most are pretty good, thou honestly, I felt that the FE toys should of been apart of the main line for the most part, I really dislike the RID Bulkhead and Optimus, Bulkhead because the toy doesn't really reflect the character, Optimus, that back kibble is to extreme and the front look a total mess as they try to give him the windscreen that isn't a fake!

About the worse part of the prime voyager toys outside of FE, is the mechtech weapons that can't be locked into place, honestly, I wonder why Hasbro and Takara didn't listen to fans complaints/feedback and learn, the only one that can lock into place is Ultra Magnus's hammer from what I seen, of the mechtech in RID! Mechtech could of been about the coolest gimmick to date if they just aloud for the weapons to lock into their alt modes, across the range, but a last, the path not taken (the morons)! The revealer gimmick is kind of interesting and it doesn't distract from the toy much!

I've not gone into the weaponiser TFs yet, because, I'm not keen on that Optimus and BB is a total utter waste, it should be Megatron getting a toy to rival Optimus, but I know there is a Ultra Magnus coming for the class but, no idea if its just a repaint or a new mould!

On the voyagers, about the best I gotten, of RID is Dreadwing, thou his mechtech weapon leaves more to be desired, thou a bit of work with a screwdriver can disable the spring! Thundertron, the first new voyager toy to a character who only existed in book form, he is a nice toy, thou, again the mechtech, really lets him down and the fact I've been unable to disable that weapon spring due to a screw that refuses to come out, makes it impossible to take the spring out and give him a cool looking weapon!

So on the whole, so far, TFP is a ok line, with a few hits and a few misses, a lot of the misses tend to be in the RID line!

I'm jumping off the Prime bandwagon. Going to stick to 3rd party (G1 homages) until Hasbro or Takara give me something to be excited over. ...... ......As of today, though, I am once again interested in at least one toy from Fall of Cybertron that will be a must have for my collection.

In terms of TF: Prime toys, I have not gotten too many simply because some of them have not excited me. I probably have a small handful of figures in my collection otherwise they get passed up.

Well I'm generally interested in the upcoming beast figures, but not the retools of the characters we already had, besides, they make what nice looking figures become suddenly UGLY!

The local Tesco has a good selection, but they just look flimsy to me

The only one I've really transformed several times is Takara's AM-14 Vehicon. But it's a solid figure and holds up really well. But uh...if you're expecting die cast parts like G1, you're in for a disappointment.

I only have two: Wheeljack and the Weaponizer Optimus Prime.

Wheeljack's cool, in that he's a lot like Generations Drift (I think.) Some good sword fight poses can be done with the two.

Weaponizer Optimus is sooooooooooo basic. Too obviously aimed at kids. He has no firing projectiles, his gun is shit, he has very little weight, for his size, and he has fake window tits. Again.
But he doesn't look bad. I prefer Revengee Leader Prime, which is probably why Prime Prime feels so fucking simple.

His gun is bullshit. Plus, I'm not a fan of his legs. They seem .....hollow? He looks cool, but DEFINITELY has a lot of flaws.

Ah yes! Finally! The day has come for a Deluxe Trailbreaker (Trailcutter) from Hasbro. It's part of the TF: Prime Beast Hunters line and shares the same aesthetics as most robots do from that line. BUT! He's black, turns into a truck and will make a NiCe filler in your "Classics" collection until a 3rd party company gives us a spot on homage to G1 TB.

For Today's arrivals, from Kapow toys, I couldn't resist doing it in the form of a short comic, Staring HA Roadbuster and this is the first comic made using my new Digicam, its titled, Roadbuster and Steve, unboxing or Roadbuster and Steve open a box!

I got RID Cliffjumper and Thundertron. Both are cool. Cliff surprised me, the plastic quality impresses me.

I've already got Thundertron, pain to disable the spring in his weapon, but he is ok! As for CJ, I've passed upon him because he has no interest to me since he died so early in the show and I never liked the look of him to start with, but then again, I never liked BB in the show much because of his lack of a descent face and voice! The real reason he can only beep is because someone forgot to give him a mouth, so how is he meant to consume energon without a mouth?

Oh I got Airachnid, a while back. She's an odd one. She's small, though she's a femme, so it can be classed as "petite", I guess.
Her plastic is a little too soft, except for where it matters (the chest.)
She also has a pointless opening cockpit. I mean who's gonna fit in there?!

All in all she isn't bad, and I wanted more femmes so I can't complain.

Today I purchased voyager Ultra Magnus. He's basic, but I really like him. Too bad he didn't come with two missile launchers. One on each shoulder, to homage G1? Never mind.

I purposely hunted down some missile launchers for mine, so now he supports Two G1 launchers and two Fansproject launchers! I am curious to see the upcoming voyager, I wonder if he'll have holes on his shoulders, if yes, I might get him and give him the launchers and then put the TFP RID one away!

Well I did say upcoming, there is two Ultra Mangus's coming from BH, one is the voyager, which is a retool of the voyager prime and the other is the weaponzier Optimus retool in the platinum line! I've already got the TFP RID Mangus toy in my collection!
