Fans Toys FT-04 Scoria (not-MP Slag)!!!

From the makers of FT-03 Quakewave (not-MP Shockwave)....I bring you MP Slag!      
Yes, they are planing on doing the other 3 Dinobots as well (Swoop, Sludge and Snarl). And as you can see here they are making these to scale perfectly with the new line of MP's! They're even including foot risers for MP-08 Grimlock to bring him up to scale. Due out in March 2014 for $199.99. Get you're pre-order in now! If it's anything like Quakewave, it'll sell fast and have lots and lots of chrome and MP goodness.

Silhouettes are of Jetfire and Swoop. Both of whom they plan on doing masterpieces of. I've canceled my MP Jetfire pre-order from Daca Toys and am now going with Fans Toys as they have a proven track record of making Masterpieces of better quality than both Hasbro and Takara.

Although, Shockwave was a main character in season 1, he was never on Earth, leaving him only on Cybertron. It appears that this company is currently focused on the seaon 1 secondary characters. Shockwave, "sort of" fits in this category along with the Dinobots and Jetfire. I'm wondering if the Insecticons will be getting the Masterpiece manacure in the near future as well.
I'm really excited about this line of MPs. Grimlock needs his dinobuddies in MP format.
Slag, Snarl, Sludge and Swoop MP size will be amazing!!! And much needed to any MP collector. I highly doubt Hasbro or Takara are even THINKING about doing the other Dinobots any time soon.

This company (Fans Toys) was burnt already by going into production with FT-02 Acoustic Wave (MP Soundwave) and then to only have Takara beat them to the punch. They lost thousands upon thousands of dollars and had to eat their losses on that project. That's when they decided to only go after "non interest" characters, or ones Takara is less likely to do. They took a risk doing Shockwave, but I'm glad that they did. I highly doubt Takara will ever give us a better version. The Dinobots (except for Grimlock) is a given, and by giving us "feet risers" for Grimlock that'll be included with Slag...that pretty much confirms they're not touching him. It's very likely that Has/Tak will revisit the Grimlock mold one day soon anyways and if I were them I wouldn't want to take that chance either. The rights to Jetfire is owned by Harmony Gold. And they've already brought Hasbro to court over the SDCC exclusive G.I. Joe Skystriker that was repainted as Jetfire. A MP Jetfire would surely piss off Harmony Gold and have Hasbro/Takara back in court again. So it's very unlikely he's even being considered by Has/Tak. Insecticons? That would be interesting.....though I am in love with my FansProject Insecticons, I wouldn't be able to pass up MP versions.

I'm not getting this MP Slag because he'll be to much out of scale and I expect the cost of him will be rather high! As for a MP Jetfire, now if they went with this:

Hasbro & Takara could get away with it, I mean, aren't most of the MP toys based upon their cartoon appearances instead of their ordinal G1 toy appearances, so effectively, I believe Harmony Gold will have no case against them, besides, if they are going with cartoon appearances, the alt mode should look a lot like this:

Does look nice but I won't be buying because of space reasons, but I do know, Planet X, the group that made the FOC Swoop are doing Dinobots but in their FOC forms, which be more in scale with the generations/classics line!

So, my Birthday was last month, I bought myself NOT FOC Swoop as a treat to myself and I don't regret it because its a lovely figure and looks very much how he appears in the IDW comics (yet to get around to playing FOC)

I'm hoping they do Snarl before Sludge. Snarl (even the G1 toy) was always the dopest looking dinobot to me with all that chrome.  

It will be nice to see all the Dinobots getting a MP upgrade.
