Doesn't inspire me much, all things considered Defensor was about the most far out of the combiners in terms of vehicles used, mainly because one got to wonder, how the heck a motorcycle lines up with a helicopter for combining, its honestly about the silliest of the combiner limbs, perhaps if Defensor had been four bikes and one car, it might make more sense!

Well, how does a space shuttle line up with anything on Bruticus? Devastator's components are quite out of scale with each other with regard to the construction vehicles they're based off of as well. If you worry about a limb looking silly, then some others start looking weird too. Heck, Menasor ought to be a pipsqueak of a combiner considering it's five cars (including the scout car that forms the chest armor) slapped onto a COE semi, and yet is bigger than the sum of his parts.
But while Defensor would be interesting, I don't need a 12"+ tall Defensor.

Re: TFC Defensor
I'll be taking a wait and see approach on this project. Been burned twice by TFC with their liberal/create color patterns, not to mention both of their combiners put out so far have had QC issues to some degree. I really want a Defensor, too. It's my favorite Autobot gestalt and the G1 version looks the best out of the 3 (to me), so I'll be watching this project with guarded interest.
As far as scale goes, you just have to throw that concept out the window when dealing with Transformers. Hook should be a great deal larger than the other Constructicons being a crane and agreed about Blast Off fitting in with the other Combaticons.

Oh, Hook isn't the one that would be larger...it's the one he sits on top of when combined. The dump truck Long Haul's based off of is much larger than the rest, if I remember correctly.
But scale between modes has been a general non-concern since 1984. Just look at Broadside.

Fansproject took the unusual step of making their Blast off (Explorer) into a drone than a shuttle, but its is weird now one thinks about these things, motor cycle becoming an arm while on the other side a helicopter and a ambulance for a leg, about only combiners I can think of that might make sense in terms of vehicle sizes would be Devestator and Superion, at least in G1 cartoon cannon!

Computron could be perfectly scaled. Considering that all members are fictional vehicles. And Grimlock was a genious when he built them.

Groove was usually a leg with Streetwise. First Aid was usually the left arm, and Blades the right.
Afterburner makes an arm usually, and is a bike...I think.
