Thundercats

I've been reading up on Thundercats lately... There have been several attempts to make a live action movie about the humanoid cats and evil mutants. But nothing has fell through. Maybe one day we will have the Thundercats roaring on the big screen. Hell, I would mind collecting those action figures some day.

They have some really nice ones floating around at retail still...I was in F.Y.E this past weekend and seen some 18" Lion-O, Panthro and Mumm-Ra figures. As for the movie, we'll just have to wait and see, I guess.

At the mo, it just doesn't seem likely Thundercats will get a movie, but honest, I partly blame Speedracer movie, they never should of green lighted that, live action movies based on animes just don't work, they tend to be rather poor quality, especially if they are made by Americans (no offence to our yanky members)! At the mo, aside from TF and GI Joe, there just doesn't seem to be any coming soon movies based upon the other 80s properties, sure there's interest but so far, nothing much has become of it, there's meant to be a movie based on Voltron in the works but so far, nothing become of it, of course, they really messed up the idea of Voltron with the resent TV series, potential, lost! Anyway, getting back to the cats, I honestly, quite liked the resent TV series of Thundercats, its a shame its not getting any more eps produced at the mo because it certainly bought a different and fresh approach to things with some nice animation, thou in some respects, one of the most vital bits that caught many a kid eye back in the 80s, was left out for the most part, which is where Lion'o Swings his sword side to side, shouting "Thunder, Thunder, Thundercats, HOHOOOOOOOOOOOO!"
