The car modes are great, but I've been disappointed by most of the robot modes for the ones I've seen.

The best looking one for me personally is Hound. He looks great as a Jeep, and in his robot form, he looks the most like he did in the G-1 series.
I liked the Corvette, and Viper cars too, but Hasbro did too many characters based off of those two vehicles.
What was the last official release of the Alternators line? I know E-hobby, and Wal-Mart did exclusives, but I mean the regular "all stores have them" Alternators toy.

I had sunstreaker, sideswipe, ravage, and smokescreen. And the only robot mode I half liked was smokescreen.

Re: Altenators Toys
I considered branching off and collecting these as well. The alt. modes do look very realistic...now this is the toy line I would have loved seeing a high-res. cartoon made after. With proper writers, it could have been great!

Re: Altenators Toys
I have a few of these and 3 of my favourites are Rumble (of course!), Shockwave and Jaguar Ravage. The fact that they can pass as scale models of real cars is great when you consider that they managed to cram a Transformer inside.
Rumble.

Re: Altenators Toys
I have Jag Ravage (thanks to CM/RP), Shockblast (thanks Dez), Rumble, Ricochet, OP (duh), and Wheeljack. I'd like to get my hands on a Hound, but I don't even wanna know what they're going for. I like them for the most part, but they're so hard to transform! OP especially is really hard to get all the parts to line up in alt mode. Are they gonna release the Alternity here? That'd be sweet......

Nope. Hasbro said no to releasing that line outside japan.
Alts are nice though. My favs are miester {AKA jazz}, Mirage {or rodimus, same fig different head} and prowl {Who's got the same alt mode as his G1 counterpart.} The others are nice but nothing to write home about.
(OP is the worst of them all mind. you can sub in the 20th anni MP prime instead as he's about the same scale)
