will the GI Joe movie suck?

all of the previews make me nervous. snake eyes looks cool but everything else... i don't know. for one the wayans guy (not keenan or damon) that is in it i'm sure will be an annoying sterotypical "urban guy". is anyone thinking differently or will hollywood screw another one up?

I think the kids will like it but i think us older fans will have mixed feelings......

I'm just wondering, from the brief footage and trailers I've seen it appears that the Baroness doesn't have an accent, am I mistaken or what? Because I certainly hope I am, her not having an accent would really piss me off.

I never really watched much GI Joe so hopefuley I will enjoy it

I'm trying not to get my hopes set too high but it's hard when you're a huge fan of the series (A.R.A.H) to begin with. I did that with Transformers: ROTF and while I was still pleased overall I left the theater feeling shortchanged somewhat with the shallow plot line, underdeveloped characters and unnecessary toilet humor. From what I can tell though we have a really good cast of decent actors involved with this film and some quality cgi and special effects, too. The accelerator suits look awesome and with all that they can do, I know I want one!

It will be interesting to see how they explain those. I think it will be a nice tie in though. From the previews they scale walls, dodge missiles, leap from rooftops...everything but walk on water (hmmm...maybe they'll do that too) in those.

I had watched just some episodes of the toon,and it was a good series for both the heroes and Cobra faction(Cobra Commander was a great villain).
I don't remember plots of episodes so I think that I'll appreciate the movie if the characters will have the same attitude/skills of the 80's animated series.
