Any Sports Fans on the Lair?

I used to be a die-hard sports junky and preferred SportsCenter when I first woke up over news or the weather. I find myself watching less and less though, here lately. But come playoff time (professional and collegiate) in any of the 3 major USA sports (Baseball, Basketball or Football), I find myself getting sucked back in again. Anyways, I was thinking the Lair could really use a sports section (Overlords Arena of Sport....or Overlords Sports Bar) and want to see how many would actually be interested in posting there?

I don't follow sports the way I used to but I would post on a casual basis.

I'm not really keen on sports and in my honest view, the footballers in the pro leagues are WAY over paid for doing a simple thing, kick a ball about in front of hundreds of people, I could kick a ball about like that! Anyway, with these so called sport stars, when they enter the pro leagues and become known on regional to national levels, they should really think about their actions, because in the eyes of a lot of children, they are heroes! That's just my view on football in the UK, you yanks know the sport by the name soccer! However, what I said about them being heroes in children's eyes, is true for most sports, I hate it when they make headline news, for the wrong reasons!

Can we find a good pic of Overlord drunk?

I watch both collegiate and professional sports throughout the year...football, baseball, basketball, and occasional soccer. It does not matter if it is playoff time or the regular season, I do watch the games. :)

I just like pro football and hockey. Hockey got cancelled this year.

Awesome! I'll move forward with it this weekend, boss. It looks like we have enough members interested that can keep the threads moving. I don't anticipate this sub-forum being super active. But there will be times when creating a thread there makes sense and at least we'll have the sub-forum for it. And "Overlords Sports Bar" sounds great to me too! As far as finding a picture of Overlord drunk on the web? But I'll see what I can dig up.

Unlikely because I don't follow sport and I try to avoid these so called stars who kick a ball about and get paid tons of money that should be used to lift children out of poverty or bring an end to sicknesses that plague the third world, or better yet, the money could be used to plug government debit!

It is why I mainly watch collegiate sports, the players do not get paid large sums of money...it is against the rules. ;)

I'd post there just to take the piss outta sports.

Could be entertainment too, it's the only subject matter that rides
that fence. UFC definitely will have a home here in this sub-forum. I
follow that from time-to-time. Never can afford the pay-per-views

Nobody's going to fix that though. Hollywood stars, Musicians, Models and Sports Stars make what they make because they're considered the best of the best. They had to work their way up and did, so I respect them for that....well most of them. Some have had everything handed to them on a silver platter *cough* Lindsay Lohan *cough* and it shows too.
