Now I've sufficiently had my laughs in this thread I shall reveal all. 

Dirgeville is the "working name" for a OO scale model railway that I will be constructing over the summer, photos and short videos of the construction process, from the bare plywood baseboard to the completed railroad will be posted in due course. 

I will also document rough price guides for track, buildings, locomotives, rolling stock etc. 
I'm open to suggestions for the name by the way.

Make sure when you build the town, the prostitutes spit shine the riders shoes at every depot station.. Also, make sure to get a hobo killed every now and then for falling asleep, drunk on the tracks.

I know the prefect name, Astrotrain!   

Of course Astrotrain has to be parked somewhere on the board while the electric trains run around and a round and a round!  

G1 Astrotrain actually is not far off scaled to OO, but his presence actually on the tracks will short circuit the board and cause an overlord.

The era I will be attempting to re create is the 1923 - 1946 "Big Four" era.

This was the time when only four companies operated the entire network of railway in Britain, the four companies being:-

Southern Railways (SR)
Great Western Railways (GWR)
London and North Eastern Railway (LNER)
London, Midlands and Scottish Railways (LMS)

I've decided upon the LMS as my choice of the four

These days its just two companies I can think of that run the UK rail network, First Great Western and Virgin! Then most of the network is far older than, well some buildings but a good chunk was designed and plotted out by one of the greatest Engineers of all time and his legacy is pretty much in my region!

The Lair members all have some great ideas for your city. I look forward to watching it grow (i'm talking about the city!!!)
My brother had a huge city HO scale. He still has a ton of pieces, buildings etc you name it, he got it.

Any buildings you can't get in the models, buy them in Lego, just don't forget Galvy's wish of a red light district where he can hook up a babe!
