yesterday 12/12/12 we had a problem with the realm and for a short time i thought the forum was gonna be lost but Ipage fixed the issue and it is back going so if anyone was trying to get on yesterday and couldn't, you can now.

Good deal! I haven't been online in a couple days as shit's been hectic but I'm glad you've gotten everything fixed.

As some of you know the Shadow Realm is going through a bit of a funk. last year it got a bug because of a third party add on I got called VB Advanced. This bug has cost me over $500 in damages and I know you guys have been joking around about the realm falling under this virus and I would appreciate it if you all would not make fun of this problem. It is costing me my forum and the last 4 years of hard work to keep it going.

on another note the realm is gonna be perminately moving over to a phpbb board, much like TFL and I will be doing away with VB because of costs and the lack of help. Unfortunately I will not be able to migrate the forum contents to the other site so much will be lost but i will be moving things over by hand and when I am satisfied with the move then i will make it so the old url links to the new board so either way you type in the url it will take you to the proper board.

sounds like a headache boss. I hope all goes well and you get it up and running at full speed once more.

JOKING ABOUT THE REALM or any other forum is not acceptable here at the Lair.

From what I can remember, I only say good things about the place.

I know you and Cassie have sunk a lot of your hard earned money into keeping the Shadow Realm an independent board and the upgrades aren't cheap. I'm sorry to hear about the viruses, webroot malware, exc...that has befallen your forum. VB should step up and assume partial (or entire) responsibility in my eyes but it's good to hear you've got a backup plan you plan on exercising and that not all data will be lost. You have a strong crew making up the core of that forum and this is only a minor setback, that everyone else will help your perservere through. Just be strong during this difficult time, right now.

Galvatrons Lair is the sister site of the Shadow Realm (as that's been posted on here before), and that type of behavior is not tolerated from any member by the Administration team here. We did have one member make unnecessary detrimental comments towards the Shadow Realm and he was dealt with accordingly and hasn't happened since. I would just like to reiterate we don't condone that type of behavior here. Whether it be in the past, present or future forum activity.

Moving the board over to save it is all well and good, but it won't mean squat if we can't get more members to join. I've seen a perfectly nice and friendly forum die from lack of new members joining and staying around, and I REALLY don't want to see that happen with the Realm. Not to a site I consider to be one of the best out there.

Well I've submitted and had my credentials for the new realm proved, which I send a Thanks and I don't see this as much of a tragedy, but rather a opportunity for a fresh start, clean slate! Thou in some respects it sad to see the old one go, but things must change over time, that is nature, as for the bugs that caused all the trouble, if we could, I would stick them over a pit full of Sharkicons and let Unicron, enjoy the show with some to eat and that would make her happy I suspect!

I'd feed 'em to the Insecticons. Might be a little heavy on the electrons, electrons...

Good news is I've seen three new members sign up, which is gonna benefit the site more, in the long run. Hopefully the new members can, in turn, find more new members.

the realm has gone through hell more than once. I'm glad to see it back on it's feet again and rolling along with style

The real question is, with these new members, will they become active within the site, some just sign up and do F all and then vanish into the winds of Cyberspace!
