Kyle's Kustom Krapshack

I'll be putting my non-TF customs here, most of which are MOTU. I don't do many TF customs, mostly because they are a pain to take apart and paint, and there are too many moving parts that rub. For some reason, I love painting MOTU guys. There are some great customizers out there, probably the best of which are these guys: COTU. I'll try to start with the first guys I did. I keep meaning to take better pics with the ol' lady's camera, but I never get around to it. Here goes!

Here's the first guy I ever did. I'm no good at back stories or names, so I just call him King Ram-dor.







He looks so much better than that, my camera sucks!!



There's a guy named He-Bro who has a cool site- http://he-man.us/ -and there is only 1 black He-Man guy, so he made a He-Bro, this is my take on He-Bro.



I always liked the way some of the guys looked on the collector case, so here is a Mer-Man. This guy bugs me because I was still using glossy Testors paint back then, and I shouldn't have painted his belt dark red. I better fix that.

The next thing I did was a Thundercats Mumm-Ra. There are some old toy catalog pics that had some paint schemes that never saw the light of day. Some had the purple, some had the cape, and others had the yellow dagger. I just kinda put them all together. I actually won a contest on a Thundercat forum, but I was the only person who entered. :)





A long while later, I did this next Mumm-Ra. He is one of my favorite customs. It's supposed to be like Mumm-Ra when he was still alive or whatever.







It's hard to see, but his skirt is gold. I don't know if I like his mouth red. It looked better white. Here are some WIP pics of this one.

So, I had bought this can of blue Testor's metallic spray paint to do some lines on a custom MP OP trailer, and didn't know what to do with the rest. A company called Top Toys did these crappy He-Mans in India or something, and their Panthor was painted dark-blue/purple instead of flocked. (giggity) Then, some KO beasts had these gold saddles, so I wanted to make one. The saddle took forever to paint. Her name is Panth-Roar cause Roar sent me the Battle Cat to make it! Thanks again!!!!

This is my custom Savage (Wonderbread) He-Man. If you don't know about Wonderbread He-Man, Google it. I also found this Imperial Saber-toothed tiger that looks really good with him.



Here's a Spaceghost I made out of a Batman. I'd like to do another someday, he didn't turn out so great.



Here's a Skeletor I did. He bugs me because I used 3 different kinds of paint. I fixed the paint, but I still don't like him that much.

I really like Clawful, the the COTU guys did some great customs of him. They call them "Crusties". This one is based off of their "Mudthug", or maybe it was "Mudbug"....I don't like the shiney paint.



No one seems to ever do GoBot customs. Tank is one of my favorite GoBots.





This guy here is based off another guy's custom I saw a long time ago. His was way cooler than mine.











"Top Toys" made a blue Road Ripper, and they're expensive as hell. So, I made one.



The silver highlights don't show up well in pics, but trust me, they are cool!





So, I have a ton of Rotons, and they aren't worth very much. Originally, this was supposed to be bright green with a silver dry-brushed blade. Turns out my green spray paint was darker than I though, so I switched to gold instead of silver. When I saw how dark the green was, I was gonna try to go camo, but there wasn't a whole lot of room between the stickers, so I just made the stickers brown. Notice the yellow eyes-I love it!

Here's some more. Road Rippers aren't worth crap. They must've made a billion of them. So I just paint 'em. This one turned out cool!

Zo-black. His skin looks reddish in the pics, but it's not. They start getting really good around this time because I switched to Citadel paints, and got a lot of advice from Kup, Dez, Rumble and mostly Razorclaw.





I love this one. Never liked Man-E-Faces orange skin, and like the Mer-Man I like to copy comic/prototype pics.









I went a little overboard on the details here....







So, I had a whole can of neon green I bought to do the Battle Ram's wheels, so I did this. Easy to paint, looks killer. I have since found a proper handle for him.



I meant to mask out his eyes so they would be green, but I forgot so I painted them blue. I fixed it, but never took new pics.
