Look at what I found today!
OH HELL YEAH! Consider me one poor, broke ass bastard when these hit my area! I could probably pass up those shown in this picture pretty easily, BUT if it were Evil Lynn, Skeletor, He-Man, Man-At-Arms, Beast Man, Man-E-Face, Sorceress, exc...exc... And it's gotta suck for the masses of MOTU collectors that paid MattyMattel to be a part of their subscription service. I know I'd be pissed! ...hopefully this isn't overstock and they (Mattel) have a deal in place with retailers, like Wal-Mart for several waves. Until then, you can find me over in the corner over these!
Edit: Got this from a really reliable source on Facebook. This particular Wal-Mart is in Southern California.

Re: Look at what I found today!
oh man that could open a new can of worms for anybody wanting to collect He-Man. Now would be the time to get started.
Re: Look at what I found today!
I hope a reset is planned and Mattel has plans on releasing the core characters starting with Wave 1. It could be the end of my pocket book as I know it!
Re: Look at what I found today!
most definatly! Even I would be interested in that and I'm not much of MOTU fan.

Re: Look at what I found today!
I had a lot of them too. I miss Tri-Klops and Man-E-Faces the most, though.
Re: Look at what I found today!
I had a friend that had a bunch of MOTU. I used to go to his house to play with them all the time. He had a ton!
Re: Look at what I found today!
How much are they? I'm not into the new ones (unless Hordak or Scareglow show up), just curious.
Also, forgive my memory but Dai Atlas is Antoine, correct?
EDIT: Just read Dez's intro post, sorry DA! You go by different names on different forums, and I used to poke a lot of smot.

I can make out $16.97 for the smaller figs. The larger ones are probably double that, if I had to take a guess.
And yep, DA is Antoine. lol

Crap in a hat! I have the original poster of that! I think that the MOTU line collector is the most blessed monkey on the face of the earth! How many lines were there after the original? This is what, the third incarnation?

I'd LOVE to have that poster! Hell, I think I'll hunt for it now! I have 2 Transformers ones, a G.I. Joe and a Marvel one hanging in my office now. That would fit right in!
EDIT: And I don't know of 3 incarnations? I knew of the original line and the newest "Classics" line by Mattel. Was there a line in-between?

There was a line based on the second cartoon series, they were smaller than the original figures, but super detailed and had tons of articulation points. There was also a first re-release of all the old school MOTU figures in original reproduction packaging (on the classic card style/artwork), with special edition packaging over that along the same time that the newer cartoon series was out. Ramjet would most likely be your man to get dates and pictures from, but as best I can remember the special edition packaging was a black and silver box to hold the card? I didn't buy them at the time because I had all the originals.

. Yeah, I remember running across that MOTU cartoon series, now that you mention it! I was hunting for the original box set not too long ago and remember one installment from the original series (Season 2: Part 1, maybe?) being ASTRONOMICALLY expensive due to rarity. Had no idea there was a figure line, though.

There sure was, and they were really nice, and I neglected to mention that not only were the figures super detailed, but the accessories were too. The battle cat was extremely well rendered too. A lot of kitbashers used that series to make ThunderCats figures, and some even retained the packaging so that they could make "MOC" figs.

Re: Look at what I found today!
There was original MOTU, then New Adventures, then I think the re-issues came next. There were about a dozen figs in that line. Then came what's referred to as "200X", because they ran from around 2000-2004 designed by the Four Horsemen. There were also some statue like figures that came out around that time. Then finally the Classics. Apparently, Mattel didn't have any figs for the re-issues, so they had to buy them off eBay to make new molds from!
Re: Look at what I found today!
Keeping with the "Look at What I Found Today" ...."Masters of the Universe" theme.....it looks like ToyFairs 2013 Matty Mattel MOTUC figures have been leaked! Check 'em out!

We can only hope 'bro! I start seeing these show up in Wal-Mart, Target or TRU....you guys will be the first to know! My wife will follow suit when she opens my empty ass wallet.
:lol!:
Re: Look at what I found today!
this could be seriously bad news for my wallet as I begin MOTU figures. I better start hooking again. Sorry fellows, women customers only.
Re: Look at what I found today!
This is the box art that comes with the Castle Grayskull STATUE. NOT the toy....there are versions of both coming out, so I don't want anyone getting confused. But, I must say, this artwork makes me feel like I'm in Eternia and back in the 80's again....
Re: Look at what I found today!
if i was a major MOTU fan, I would be masturbating to that pic RIGHT NOW!
