I own all three of these and each is a pretty good homage to their G1 counterparts. My only gripe is the chest shield that X-47 Phantom Ray (who also is a triple changer: robot/drone/chest shield) forms is not only a bit loose, but doesn't really do it for me in combined mode. Hopefully an add on pack will be sold that addresses this or I'll be doing the famous "Tekering" mod discussed over at TFW2005. But with that being said, the transformation process is really superb for each of these and TFC seems to address any QC problems that plagued them with the Hercules set they put out a few years ago. I'd have to give this set an 8/10 and would recommend it to anyone. Just keep in mind this is meant more for a CHUG display, aesthetically, even though it would scale really nice alongside your MP's.

Negative on the Scramble City capability. FansProject Menasor is the only 3rd party combiner with that option that I know of, right now. DB, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong?
Re: TFC Toys Uranos
Here's the colored protoype draft of TFC's Uranos released ages ago. Other than a few "slight" color alterations, such as black knees over yellow, it's turning out to be pretty damned accurate! I need to just go ahead and drop the cash and pre-order the last 2 limbs (not-Slingshot & not-Skydive) and get it over with!

I will be doing this simple solution to fix that problem (aka: the Tekering Mod):
EDIT: And this is what the gestalt chest will look like afterwards....the good thing about his mod? It doesn't affect the transformation of Silverbolt in any of his modes.
Re: TFC Toys Uranos
The limbs make no distinction as to which side they're attached to. F-4 Phantom can be a left or right arm, although is the right arm by default for example. But F-4 Phantom and F-15 Eagle can't switch places with one another. So FansProject's Menasor lookalike may indeed be the only one that can fully scramble. (albeit by necessity considering Car Crash, T-Bone, and the Dead End analogue all share the same base skeleton. I don't know for certain if not-Dragstrip can make a leg or not though)

Re: TFC Toys Uranos
Only time will tell us if FP combiner can do Scramble city, thou honestly, I think all of the five part combiners, third party or Hasbro/takara, should be able to swap limb locations, thou one feature that is kind of missed because of the mutable companies doing their own, is the interchangeability, example, you take Not Superion torso and for his left arm, you say put Car Crash on, while for a leg, you put one of those Not Predacons on, that's part of the nature of Scramble city style combiners!

Re: TFC Toys Uranos
The Predacons were never a scramble city style combiner. And generally, I'd rather the combined mode have one really good formation than to have the limbs sacrificed to try and shove being an arm or leg into each one.

Re: TFC Toys Uranos
Update!
TFC Toys have announced they're doing a "Winds of Uranos" upgrade kit, much like they done with their Rage of the Hercules kit for Hercules! Check out the pics below. I'm all in for this and really gives their Superion a more G1-perfect look. Impressed!
The kit comes with:
4 small G1 guns for the Aerialbot limbs
1 large G1 gun for Silverbolt/Superion himself
New G1 styled chest piece for combiner mode
New G1 styled waist armor
New faceplate/mouth guard for combiner head
16 G1 styled missiles for the Aerialbot limbs
Pre-ordering the final two (Skydive and Slingshot) is tops on my "to do list" right now. This set being announced has renewed my interest in this combiner once again!

Agreed Galvy, I might look to invest later in the year, in this combiner and get the upgrade, sadly at the mo, the rage of Hercules one is impossible to find on Ebay at the mo, its just the six who make up the big guy that are about!

Re: TFC Toys Uranos
it's a shame that they didn't make URANOS that way to begin with. Now collectors have to pinch out more pennies for the upgrade.
Love the title also. WINDS FROM URANOS.

I did call it Winds of Uranos, didn't I? Sorry about that....probably what I was thinking at the time, seeing as how we're getting royally fucked over by TFC in this cash grab of a dick move.
Re: TFC Toys Uranos
Well they thought to try something different with Superion and make the chest plate its own little robot, but it didn't work out as well as they hoped. So while they're offering a new chest plate, may as well offer a new crotch plate too, and a mouthplate and some other stuff. Hey, someone was gonna do this someday...may as well be the guys who made Uranos in the first place.

Re: TFC Toys Uranos
I agree with you there DB. Chest crotch and mouth. I like all 3 sections on a fembot.
Re: TFC Toys Uranos
You sure about that? That last part doesn't sound so appealing...and the middle part I'd think I'd prefer the other side of that area...Galvatron wrote:I agree with you there DB. Chest crotch and mouth. I like all 3 sections on a fembot.

Either they're worried about IP infringement and didn't want the original set to be too close to a Hasbro homage, or this was planned from the beginning. I'm leaning towards the latter considering the missile designs were shown from the start with the initial silhouettes. Kind of pisses me off that they make no apologies for their designers who are supposed to get these intricate details right from the start, coupled by the fact they're announcing this set before Falcon and Harriet even come off the plastic press.
