My Collection

It's basically a statue, thus about as articulated as a brick. Though the lady's sword I'm sure would be making her enemies shitting bricks.

    I swear I see elbow and knee joints? Just figured she'd have a head on a ball joint, swivel wrists and maybe rocker ankles, too? My G.I. Joes have those and they're nowhere near $100 each.

And S.H. Figuarts have double jointed everything, triple jointed everything else and exquisite detail of what they represent for like about $50. This thing of Tyjos' is just to stand there and look pretty. (admittedly very successfully I might add) In the collector's world, price doesn't mean much if it's wanted bad enough.

I'm glad it doesn't move cause those Joints would mess up the Appeal of the Figure, That's exactly what these are are Statues some might have moveable heads or switchable hands for weapons [Leo has a simple pop out hand for her Shield] But these are more of Pieces of Art to me than Toys.

Lots of Detail and Work go into these figures a lot more work than what goes into your typical Action figure.  These Statues are great for Photography and the fact they are based on Illustrations are pretty cool. I always like to see the piece of Artwork that they're based on and then see how well the Figure compares to that.

Are most of them made of high quality plastic, ceramic or something else? And yeah, the detailing on these are superb. Sideshow Collectible or Masterpiece calibur that's for sure!

They're made of PVC Mainly, There are some Resin Statues and there are the Kits that people can make and do their own Painting [Those are Expensive but some of those who do them do it pretty well]

Just the fact that looking around and when I compare them to your $10 Transformer or Gi Joe Figure they're so worth the money even if the main thing I have to deal with is the Shipping and the Yen to the Dollar Difference when they come out.

Heck Just looking around my room I can see what Manufacturers are the Best by looking at the Quality of the Figure kinda sad when I look at the Hasbro stuff and find I'd chose one of my figures that are made by either Alter,Max Factory,Alpha Max,Good Smile Company or Kotobukiya over Hasbro due to the fact Hasbro can't approach that level of Detail at times.

Why Spend $20-$50 or more for Certain Hasbro Transformers or Star Wars or Gi Joe Items when you can spend maybe $80+ Shipping and get a Great looking figure? Larger Scales mean more Details sometimes and the Shipping Paid is worth it. Heck I find Takara looks better at times than Hasbro when I can see instantly the difference in Detailing just by looking at the figure so that extra $20 might be worth it.

But for High Detail I go with Alter mainly [They've made some of my Fav Figures] http://myfigurecollection.net/item/3227 Kos-Mos Ranks pretty much #1 in my Collection. http://myfigurecollection.net/item/42031 Houmei Ranks High as well for being one of the more Unique figures due to her Base and the fact I love the fact that Base can be lit up if you put it on a light source due to it being Translucent.

Only bad thing about Alter is Alter is Later due to their Delays for the figures but man the Detailing is soooo worth the wait.

So many of these figures I love due to the Detailing on them....

I'm always nervous when it comes to someone shipping my $100+ figures. And I agree with everything you said about Hasbro. I unfortunately have to side with them when dealing with G.I. Joes as I can't afford the Sideshow Collectible series. But with Transformers, all of my money has been going towards 3rd party companies these past few years simply because they do a better job and put out the figures fans want.

I have a preference for what I buy to do something other than just sit there, and - OOH! Pretty Sandstorm... 

I got Sandstorm a few days ago with my NOT Fallen, I'm not to keen upon the face because for the longest time, Sandstorm to me has always had a face plate because I've starred at his G1 toy, one of the few G1 toys I still have!

Well I should get some more of the Transformers Opened Today, I'll be heading to TRU This week and I HOPE I Can find Masterpiece Soundwave. It's a Long Shot and if I don't find it that means I'll have to put out an APB to my Relatives to find MP Soundwave for my Birthday.

He's now in the "I MUST POSSESS MASTERPIECE SOUNDWAVE THIS I COMMAND!" Obsessive Stage of Hunting him down.

 Mine came in the mail today. I pulled an all-nighter (almost) on 7/18 and barely got my order in with TRU before they sold out. Awesome figure and definitely worth the $119.99 he retails for. As for Sandstorm...I MUST get on the hunt for him myself, seeing as I chose not to pre-order him and told myself he'd be easy enough to find in stores. Let's hope that's true....for my area anyways.

I have to Pray to the Figure Gods I find him....

none of my stores have shit for anything new. It seems that once I stopped collecting, the stores stopped supplying. I guess I really was the only one in Oregon collecting. They stocked the stores just for me.

Pretty good Looking Coin not bad for a Custom Piece and the Price of $15 it's Exactly what I want and I don't have to Shell out the Crazy Price for the SDCC 2013 Legacy Morpher Set that has the Green and White Ranger Morpher. Dozier Studios made that Coin so I'm glad I picked that one up.

MMM, is it me or does the stock photos of Takara's Skywarp not match the item in the packing? Or is it the fact in your image Tyjos, that he seems to have a darker paint job?

That's probably due to the fact I had the exposure setting on the camera a bit lower. When it's at a certain setting the shot will be darker. I should have edited the Exposure to make it look brighter.

And with a new wrench being thrown in my Collecting Plans so far August will be Clear of new Additions I got to find Voyager Class Blaster later in the Month if I can. I'll be passing up on Metroplex so that SUCKS cause I wanted to get him and No luck at all with MP Soundwave.
