Grandus
Wanted to revisit this figure...He is awesome in size and configurations! His back view looks like an aircraft warship! Then his front section opens into a multi-level battlestation! He is from the Japanese Transformers Magazine series: Transformers: Return of Convoy. It was never animated into TV Series. And the Megatron toy figure was never produced. But I'm told it would have resembled somewhat the Deluxe Animated Transformers Megatron Helicoptor figure.
Grandus can connect to the Star Convoy figure, though I have never tried it. When connected Star Convoy's motorized feature can power Grandus lifts. Sounds like I need to try it! He can also hook up to Star Convoy the way God Bomber hooks up to Super Ginrai.
**Here's a pic of Star Convoy and the rest of the Transformers: Return of Convoy team: (Except for Dai Atlas..He's from the Transformers Zone series.) The other two figures are :Sky Garry figures.

Oh joy the japanese brickformer micromaster base figures. :lol!:
But then thats true of just about all of the later JP figures. They went berserk for the micromasters.

I've got star convoy, I believe its a reissue, hes ok but his best feature is the little micromaster Rodimus that comes with him. The jp transformers are pricey so I haven't expanded that collection much yet. maybe when I'm rich. :lol!:
