Favourte Heroes

My first choice of a hero, in the world he lives in, he technically classed as a villain due to his choice of career, which is a pirate, and his goal is to become the King of the Pirates but he is the hero of the manga and anime storyline, comes cross to some as a total idiot, but he not much of a thinker, simple minded, yet he can see things others can't because they gotten mixed up in their emotions! He is loyal and fearless, he'll do anything to protect those he calls friend, example, in one arc, a Fishman called Hatchi, is shot by a World Noble and no one is meant to hit a world noble unless they want to bring down the wrath of an admiral from Navy HQ, Luffy, knowing this, still goes and punches the noble creep, the anime makes the scene pretty dramatic, so here is my first selection, Monkey D Luffy, or as everyone in the show calls him, Luffy, unless its the navy who refer to him as Straw hat!

The Ultimate Hero from the 80's....

My next hero is a tragic one, from Teknoman or Tekkaman Blade, this is Dboy as he called in Japan, the D stands for dangerous, but in the dub, he referred to as Blade, he an armoured hero, the armour is alien in design, but its not made on earth, thou Blade is from Earth, he has to confront the invaders as he is the only one with the power to overcome the invaders minions, what known as Spidercrabs, thou the Spidercrabs are just cannon slaughter because the real threat comes from enemy Teknoman or Tekkamen, why he a tragic hero, watch the series and find out!



Another hero, tragic and partly an anti-hero, you know him and he has a movie coming soon:

I'm big on vengeance. I don't feel there's enough justice in the world, so if justice can't/won't be served, then vengeance will be unleashed. Furiously.
With that in mind I'll name The Punisher, Ghost Rider and Eric Draven (The Crow)

I also like the idea of using less conventional, even less legal methods of ridding scum and villainy. The "by any means necessary" approach is one that shouldn't be required, yet sometimes is.
So I'll choose Batman and Green Arrow (especially the Stephen Amell version.)

However, despite the darkness of the aforementioned characters, there is one light, that shines brightly. That light is Superman. Now I know some don't like him, be it because of his over abundance of powers, or whatever, but that isn't what I like about him. It's his ideals, what he stands for. Truth and justice (I'm British so I deliberately omitted American way.) Look beyond the impervious skin, the super strength etc etc and his character is one of inspiration and hope. In a world, full of tragedy and corruption, we need a figure to look up to. That's why Superman still stands tall, 75 years later.

Yes I left Transformers off this list. That's another subject, for me.

HELL NO! I own 5 rifles, 1 handgun and a crossbow....if ANYBODY comes to try and take those away there's going to be problems.
Hunting is huge where I live, so police officers and soldiers aren't the only ones that needs them (or knows how to use them)....I know the USA gets a lot of bad press from a few bad apples, but at least we can hunt for our own food if the global economy goes to shit and the supermarkets shut down.

Six, maybe you should go and watch the TV series Revolution, a world without power (the kind of power that lets you use your computer), there guns are only handled by soldiers primarily, to hunt, one has to use old fashion, yet tried and tested means, like bows, spears, so long as its not powered by electricity, most weapons work, so they can be used to go a hunting!

Saw some of it. Missed and episode and aren't really bothered now.

Your choice mate, I'm enjoying the series for the most part, not the best I seen but still enjoyable and its something to watch, at the mo, only one of four programs I'm watching, the others being Doctor Who, Arrow and Game of Thrones!

Arrow and Who-yes. My besty keeps nagging me to watch Thrones.

Anyhoo, keeping on topic, another favourite hero would be Iron Man, because of the tech stuff that I don't understand lol

You won't be disappointed in Game of Thrones, its a well executed series!

Then go and watch it, but if your looking for action, there's not a lot, because its primarily focused around the characters and their various story arcs, some of the characters are after the Iron Throne, while others are trying to make names for themselves! Simply put, its a vast array of characters set in a land where seasons can last for years and the quote that get used a lot in regards to this, is "Winter is coming!" I advise you to go and check out the series, all of the actors including the children are very good!
