SuperOmegaPrime wrote:Anyway, I rather see a picture of Hoist toy, not just the artwork, sure Trailblazer or whatever his name is, looks nice, but to be repainted and retooled, we need to see a picture of his toy ASP!
I've got a little more to show you, but not much...
Re: Generations
looks ok, I guess, the ordinal Trailbreaker or whatever he going by, clearly owns the mould in terms of paint job, I "might" get this one but I rather see some better quality pictures of the toy to really gauge its look and feel!

Re: Generations
I dunno. I like them both pretty much equally now... I don't think I could pass on Hoist if I see him on a shelf somewhere.

Up to you six, I'll most likely get him to add him to my classics/Generations/Universe collection, not sure if I'll ever bring him into a comic or not, at the mo, comic wise, I'm planning more small scale cast of characters for my Space arc, thou at the mo, I want plants outdoors to gain some greenery before shooting can begin! Anyway, the one thing I kind of hope is removable is that thing that sits behind the robot mode head because its bothering me, on Trailbreaker, it looks right because he always had that and Hoist hasn't, if its not removable, I hope it can be made to stay down out of sight!

In hand pics of Spinger and Blitzwing and the third face is finally revealed:

Honestly, I'm not to keen on how these faces come across, I mean, it works for TFA but on a more G1 style, not so well!

...I never was a really big TF: Animated fan so mine will stay on display with this face showing. The other ones probably won't see the light of day......unless I get a wild hair up my ass to do a photo comic with Blitzy in it.
Re: Generations
I've already preordered Generations Bltizwing and Springer, with Bltizwing, he'll spend most of his time with his G1 face because the other two, just don't suit this toy, I mean, the whole spinning faces thing, really works best on the TFA toy head design, thou I kind of put it down to a clash of colours on this one!

Re: Generations
TG23 (Takara) Fall of Cybertron Metroplex is now up for pre-order! Est. release date: Sept. 2013. Me? I'll be waiting on the more affordable Hasbro version to hit the market....even if the Takara version is always better!

Re: Generations
I'm going to wait for the Hasbro version of Metroplex because it be to dam costly to get takara's Metroplex! As for the Gerwalk mode, looks dumb on Springer, what makes that cool is, having a jet doing it, not a helicopter, its something about jets doing it, maybe the fact they got wings and a tail piece!
Edit:
I think I know why I don't like the extra faces on this Blitzwing, its colour clash, the black simply doesn't work with the yellow, its a terrible blend of colours, here's some images of TFA faces that this one is taking off of:
Edit 2: Fixed the images I was trying to show:

Re: Generations
Ok, regarding the upcoming Sandstorm figure, he is NOT going to be a straight repaint of Springer, nor is he just getting a new head, he'll have the wings that the artwork on Metroplex's box shows, no official shots of him yet:

Re: Generations
Let's fix that. Big time. The Transformers Facebook page has provided official images for Generations Sandstorm. Sandstorm is a repaint/retool of Springer, though one would have a hard time telling at first given how extensive the changes are. Check the link, or the mirrored images below.

Re: Generations
I was just thinking that there could be a potential fourth unofficial mode that's a throw back to M.A.S.K by having the rear wheels up it would look a little like something out of the show!

Re: Generations
The barrel is supposed to be pointing up in the packaging, not down. So someone at the factory has made the most hilariously obscene mistake ever...or the most hilariously obscene packaging variant ever. Doesn't help that in jet mode you can fold the barrel out to point forward underneath the jet. Now that's well endowed!
I should mention that there is a variant with Blitzwing. The symbol on some is just silver while others have the purple with silver background.

Just a thought, if you open that packing and a rotten smell comes out, we know what Blizwing has been up to with his cannon!

Re: Generations
I never heard of them until they started selling Metroplex for the price mentioned, but they aren't in the UK as far as I'm aware!

Re: Generations
They are going to be building a costco down the street from me later this year. Hopefully after it is built, they'll have discounts on new memberships.
Does Hasbro publish their official start dates of their Generations waves? I'm finding this to be a hell of a search for newer generations figures. There are just too many fricken Beast Hunters figures out there. Just didn't seem like a genius idea to make a beast hunters line, then kill the series - what's going to motivate kids to bug the hell out of their parents to wipe out those shelves full of transformers? Can't get the darn Beast Hunters figures off the shelves here in Ohio.
Oh, and hello!

Re: Generations
I wish I knew the answer to that too. AFAIK, the only way to know they've shipped from Hasbro to retailers is from the sightings threads over on TFW2005. Oh, and welcome back Countdown!
Re: Generations
Part of the trouble for Generations figures for me at least, is that only two stores stock them, Toys R US and Forbidden Planet, neither of which are in walking distance of home, the only other place now that has TF local for me, would be Tesco's, my local toy store closed down just recently, so I got to rely on the web for the most part, now onwards!
