in the G1 US series....
There is only 1 Autobot that has been seen throughout the entire G1 series without dying or disappearing and never to be seen again.

Yeap you got it.

Bumblebee was first seen in MTMTE (part 1)
Then has been in almost all the episodes in season 1 and 2
Then was coverted into Goldbug in season 3.
And was seen in the season 4 trilogy Rebirth.

He is the only Autobot that never died or ever mysteriously disappeared.

Would have said that, but then I thought is BB/GB the same character? I am not sure that I would consider them the same, after all I count Megatron/Galvatron separtely.

BB was badly injured in Return of Optimus Prime. He was rebuilt into Goldbug.

"Hey I feel like a new bug" - BB

"And that is what we will call you from now on. GOLDBUG"- Optimus Prime.

BB had no choice but to take the new name given by Prime. So they are the same character. Just in a rebuilt chassis.
