I caught the toon once, but not really into it. I MUST HAVE THE CLIFFJUMPER TOY!!! I'll probably get an OP and Megs, but I'm waiting to see what scales come out. The Bulkhead looks great as well.

I've seen all the episodes and most aren't bad. I got a say I think ratchet is by far the best character. I don't really like that the character models are so similar to the movie designs, I'm seriously burnt on movie looking toys. Its specifically annoying that bumblebee can't talk still and that they killed cliffy off so fast. I was looking forward to cliffjumper taking someone down Know Your Role Boulevard which is on the corner of Jabroni Drive and check them directly into the Smackdown Hotel!

Their releasing the main line in Feb. but a lot of the molds are different. So far I'm not to exited about 2012, the movie trilogy figures don't interest me at all, I think they will be a bunch of shelf warmers and Prime figures might be hard to get. Might save money this year.

The toys are about over here now, but the cost is high. From what I have see the price point is at about £23.99 (~$32.00) a voyager (I think its voyager size).

(puts shove down from digging up old threads), I've watched most of TFprime and own most of the toys, however, I really felt the first season was just rushed into production, the storyline for season 1 was, well rather dull and the fact they never told how the Autobots came to Earth (thou now its the FOC game) wasn't helpful and after the midseason story, I just tuned out of prime because, at the time, I felt it was not a very good show and lacked any real story telling of interest! About the worse ep of the first season, is the racing one, completely pointless and the same goes for most of the early eps, I really felt, it needed Megatron to be back a lot sooner than he was!

What bought me back into Prime, was the titles of the last couple of eps of season 1, so on a wim, I watched them and found myself hooked! Season 2, clearly better thought out in terms of plot and most of the eps, interesting to watch, the finally, WAY better than the Unicron arc at the end of season 1, I do look forward to Beast Hunters, thou I hope most of the robots don't adopt the appearances of their toys, because the whole spikes theme, its rather silly!

Overall, Prime on CGI is good, but in the early stages, clearly a rushed production schedule and a lack of thought that dominated much of season 1, prevents it from beating Beast Wars in my view!

The worse aspects of Prime, BB using beeps to talk and CJ death in the first ep, way a go and waste a character, I rather see TFP BB die, but I'm not a fan of the guy who voicing CJ either, he didn't get the chance to grow on me because of the fact they killed him so early on in the series!

I agree with you about the second season being better than the first season. The second season was much more enjoyable...it was not rushed in terms of the script writing or the CGI animation. It would be interesting to see where they go with Beast Hunters.

As for the toys, I feel that they are much smaller than in the last few years but some of them are good. What grips me is that even though the figures are much smaller, they are much more than expensive than the movie line toys or the CHUG lines.

I can think of two reasons for the increase in price of toys:
1. China is no longer as cheep as it use to be for manufacturing
2. The globe economy is in bad shape (blame reckless banks for that)

Movie toys, in general, never really sell that well and more often or not, end up on clearance, especially when the movie is 12+, the kids that get these figures, aren't likely to see the film and thus, toy sales suffer slow sales, of course, the reasons I mentioned above, is adding to the worries of companies

I could probably add at least 4 more reasons to bring your list up to a half dozen. I'm sure there's more reasons but these just came off the top of my head.

3. Oil prices are never stable and that's one of the main ingredients in plastic (thus the smaller toys)
4. Shipping prices have gone up over the past few years and that affects manufacturers getting supplies in.
5. Advertising costs have risen over the past several years.
6. Hasbros falling stock market rate and raising prices to rebound from that during the 4th quarter this year.

All of those are very good reasons why the figures are getting smaller. If they continue to get smaller and smaller, the voyager figures may end up being the size of scout figures. I do not think prices for figures will get any lower than they are now due to the economy in various countries plus the price of oil as it becomes more and more scarce.

I seriously doubt that voyagers will end up the size of scouts, but the thing that could cheapen these voyager toys, is dump the LED light feature, I mean, copper prices been rising I believe the last couple of years and I know in the UK there been people stealing copper to try and make a quick buck!

Did anyone else notice that Cliffjumper died faster then even most of the Transformers in the Transformers Movie?

The show is kinda cool. Is Optimus really dead now???? (Sorry for anyone who hasn't seen the end of Season 2... But it's been out for a couple months now. And it's on YouTube.)
