Favorite Music
I'm an old school metal head but I really dig jamming out to some good ol' Johnny Cash.
Re: Favorite Music
Mostly death metal and 70's rock. I can listen to Brutal Truth and Bob Segar back to back, and love them both.
Re: Favorite Music
I'm a mix of classic, pop, rock, thou I'm mostly these days into Jap themes because I grew tried of the trash that plays on the radio and these days I listen to music from Youtube! Yet I do tend to enjoy soundtracks to some films that I seen, example Lord of the Rings, that has a great score, then for TV, Doctor Who has great music to boot!

Re: Favorite Music
I pretty much listen to just about anything except for heavy metal and rap. However, I will listen to some of the older rap but the newer rap (particularly Gangster rap) severely bugs me.

I love 80s music of all kinds. When it comes to present day stuff I like pop, hip-hop, rock, country and some rap if it is a feel good jam, and not something that contains lyrics that degrade women, and other cultures or races.

Most of the older gangster rap, I can't really tolerate.

Same here...I cannot tolerate lyrics that degrade women, other cultures or races, or lifestyles.

There is only one music genre that takes a creative, collaborative effort on the part of 3 or more people to create a symphony in harmony that only the finest devils rejects can appreciate. If you think about it a rapper doesn't need a crew to drop a studio album. Just a drum machine, synthesizer and keyboard mixer. A country music star just needs his guitar and a microphone to lay out an acoustic hit. Most metal heads already know this and it drives me crazy when people say what I listen to isn't "music".
Re: Favorite Music
it takes a collaboration of multi members to make a good metal band.
From the Beatles to the newest metal band of the day. It's always been that way and always will be. REAL people, REAL instruments!!! That's what makes music. Drum machines and synthisizors are cool but they can't write music.
