Re: My Natural Collection
Thanks...as for seeing my minerals and rocks in a glass case, it is not as odd as one would think. They are in there so that they are in 1 spot and there is no dust on them. If they were not in there, would anyone want to dust all of those fossils, minerals and rocks for me?

Re: My Natural Collection
I was watching Storage Wars the other day. You know that show where they bid on storage units? Anyways, one of the scores was several large plastic tubs filled with mineralites, geodes, fossils, crystals, exc....but they raked in several thousand on those alone. Some of the rocks (and I use that term loosely) being worth $700-$800 each.
Re: My Natural Collection
$700-800 is not uncommon for rocks, minerals, and fossils...it just depends on what it is.

Nice!
I'd just like to add, my first impression of the 2nd image was it came from Supermans planet. And my first though when I seen image #8 is that you stole that from Unicrons resting place. Very brave of you!

Re: My Natural Collection
I see a piece of Cybertron, a piece of Charr, a piece of Unicron, and even a piece from the planet of Junk. Along with other planetary fragements. Where do you get these?

Thanks. :) Hehe...there are actually 5 rocks pictured. The top image for each other is under natural light while the bottom one is under a blacklight.

I get these from rock and mineral stores. When I get a chance I will photograph my other new additions, meteorites and Oregon Sunstones, which is the state gemstone.

Re: My Natural Collection
they should be called Oregon rainstones.
Reminds me of the Oregon weather rock. We got a REAL one not far from where I live.
If rock is dry... sunny
if rock is wet... rain
if rock is white.... snow
if rock is moving.... EARTHQUAKE!!!!!

I don't collect rocks, and probably never will, but I can appreciate beauty when I see it and they are gorgeous.

Thanks. :woohoo:
As for Ramjet's photo of rocks, Those are fake rocks, they do not belong in this thread. If it was suppose to be a joke, I do not see the humor in it.
