Generations Metroplex to receive SDCC exclusive deco?
Link. Looks like Metroplex may receive an exclusive deco for SDCC. Note that the pictures shown are for the retail version, not what this exclusive deco will look like. Metrotitan, maybe?

Re: Generations Metroplex to receive SDCC exclusive deco?
....I've been trying to ascertain exactly what RK has hinted to in their pre-order description, myself. If history is any indication, I fear that the most wanted G1-esque deco WILL be the SDCC exclusive. I hope I'm wrong, and that it's Metrotitan or perhaps a version with chromed apps, or maybe extra accessories. I'm not holding my breath, though....if the most wanted G1 version does turn out to be a $199 SDCC exclusive, I think I'll be passing on this mold altogether. I'm already running short on space....and while I'd LOVE to have him, I'm not going to go jumping through hoops to get him if he's a Con exclusive only.

G1 Metroplex wasn't really all that more colorful than what's been shown, was it?

I can't say for G1 Metroplex, directly, but I recall a friend I once knew, he had a broken Metroplex figure and as far as I recall, there weren't much stickers on it or paint apps, but mind you, I am recalling from memory here, so its kind of fuzzy! Anyway, I plan to get the regular version of this Metroplex, even if there's a comic con one, it be far to expensive to import, besides the regular retail version is going to cost about £155, which is in: USD $239, thou on Kapow for a couple of quid extra, you can have the Takara version at about £160 which is USD $247! Any comic con version is most likely to cost far more thou it be worth more later on, but I won't be getting it, just the regular retail version unless I decide to go for the takara one, not decided yet!

That review misses out one fact, Metroplex's weapons could be combined to make another robot, even if it is a parts former!

Pay closer attention. That was just before he went into the city mode parts.Galvatron wrote:

Re: Generations Metroplex to receive SDCC exclusive deco?
I plan on the Generations version for sure, as for the G1, maybe at some point down the road, I've got a couple of parts of him hanging around that once belonged to a former friend of mine but maybe next year or something, I don't know yet because honestly, I don't really go for G1 toys themselves as they don't have much movement in their limbs for poses, which tends to be a requirement of mine when it comes to figures! Thou that being said, base modes are attractive some what to me because they have potential unlike say the TFP Cyberverse, well this piece of rubbish:
It has no particularity whatsoever, I think Hasbro has forgotten for the most part what a base is like, I mean, they should go back and take a look at the Micro masters toys, sure the robots aren't great back then, but the vehicle modes that change into bases was a pretty cool concept in my view!
