The news article I read said they had quite a few releases planned for foc since they just cancelled the movie trilogy line.

The ol lady won $600 playing bingo, so she bought me the first 3 (?) FoC guys! OP, Shockwave and Jazz. Pics to come....

Hell yeah! I'd love to find a FOC Shockwave out in the wild. Will be hitting some TRU's and Targets while I"m in Little Rock this weekend to try and score one.

I've gotten all of the FOC deluxes so far, thou my Bruticus is the CC version, that's the best one I seen, I hated the mainline look, the CC one stands out rather impressively! I've recently laid my hands on the most resent wave which has Starscream and Kickback in! However, of the FOC toys, the weakest, I would say is the Jazz mould, mainly his head, it doesn't feel very Jazz like being decked out in blue, black is more Jazz's colour! Of course, Sideswipe is a retool of Jazz, but, honestly, he looks worse than Jazz, just no love is really given to them in production! I will get the voyager Soundwave, Soundblaster and Grimlock, plus Baster, at the mo, SW, SB and Grimy are on preorder with Kapow toys, I'll deal with minions and Blaster after Christmas is over and done with!

On a personal note, the FOC Optimus isn't great, we all know that, but, the retool/repaint of it as Ultra Magnus, is a lot better, Magnus clearly owns the design, it was as if the design was created for Magnus, not Prime! The sword also bad ass, so I would get him even if its just for the sword, oh, wait, I've already gotten him!

I'm anxiously awaiting the FOC dinobots. Voyager Grimlock and Deluxe Dinobots. And if they turn out looking anything like they do in the game, I'll be riding a month long nerdgasm. Picked up Shockwave. I like the figure, but the purchase doesn't feel justified for some reason. I dunno....might have something to do with us getting 25% less toy and paying 150% markup. :suspect: Fucking Hasbro.

AT LAST!! The long anticipated wait for this Voyager sized figure is OVER! Ships out from Robot Kingdom on Dec. 15th, so there's a slim chance we might be lucky enough to have him in hand before 2013 hits (barring Christmas sabotages the mail)!



EDIT: I almost made an entirely new thread for this figure considering how fucking awesome it is to finally be getting a decent Grimlock for "Classics" collectors. But If no one else reviews him, I'll be sure and get one up. He'll have his glory thread there! I'll be ordering mine from Robot Kingdom this Friday (14th) and hopefully it ships the next day.

Have fun reviewing him. :) He looks like he could be a bad-ass toy.

Thanks. This Grimlock is absolutely gorgeous. The upper body mass is proportionate to his lower body too. This is going to be the beast that's the centerpiece of my collection fighting shoulder-to-shoulder alongside Optimus Prime with their fellow Autobots surrounding them.

I've preordered my Grimlock from Kapow toys ages ago, along with Soundwave and Soundblaster, but I don't expect them to ship until after Christmas or into the New Year, but one thing for sure, with Grimlock, he looks to be the second best Grimlock toy made, the first would be MP!

Well, for me, this IS the best Grimlock toy available as I don't collect MP's. For the masses of people that only collect C.H.U.G/3rd Party today is a great day! As a matter of fact, I stopped in the middle of this very post and went and ordered mine (Robot Kingdom). To the USA it's $50.77 (Registered, Tracking Number) for anyone interested in ordering this big guy from Robot Kingdom. I paid $0.35 more for insurance just to have the extra peace of mind, but let me go on the record saying I feel just as comfortable shopping with them as I would BBTS or TfSource here in my own country.

I don't really collect the MP toys either, in fact I got only three, Optimus, the first one, Megatron and Grimlock, Grimlock is nice, but he not prefect because of the fact, you can only open one hand, the other is moulded shut to interoperate the light up gimmick for his sword and gun! The other gimmick for MP Grimlock, is the ability to change robot and Dino mode eye colour between red and blue, but personally, I keep Dino mode as blue and robot as red!

The light works in both Robot and Dinosaur mode.
In robot mode, the dinosaur head is hidden in the chest, so it can light up his Dinobot Logo!





EDIT: I was wondering where the hell the dino head went in robot mode. Been studying that pic of him in robot mode for a while now trying to figure that very thing out.

Its clear as day to me, the answer is, behind him, its his back from the looks of it, but it doesn't open up the Dino mode chest as the previous takes on the character have done!

I think you're right. ;). Mine shipped out from RK a couple days ago. Will be sure and give a full review once he arrives.

Agreed. I sold my WFC Optimus (MOSC) to Optimus Prime here on the Lair a year or two ago. Sold off WFC Soundwave (MOSC) a few months ago. The only one I've bought, opened and plan on keeping so far is Grimlock. And that's just because he's too fucking awesome to get rid of. (for now anyways)

Speaking of Voyager molds. It looks like we're getting Voyager TRIPLE CHANGERS! Fall of Cybertron Springer and Astrotrain! Both due out in June!
