TF4 Age of Extinction toys
Ok we get our first look at TF4 figures, well Optimus prime for the mo:

I'm not really digging the robot mode of this figure but the weapons look superior, my best guess is that we're looking at a deluxe!

I got a few movie toys, but some were clear passes for me! Anyway, from what I've read about the figure shown above, he is the so called Leader class, yet it still screams deluxe class to me!

Re: TF4 Age of Extinction toys
it needs to be sized up next to a familiar figure so we can really tell for sure if it's Leader or Deluxe class. It definatly appears to be deluxe from the Pic.
Re: TF4 Age of Extinction toys
The info that's been going around says leader but it does look like a deluxe to me because of how much of the kibble is placed even in the official pics it still screams deluxe size, but your correct Galvy, it needs to be put against other figures we're familiar with, maybe Metroplex?

Re: TF4 Age of Extinction toys
Clearly its relatively poor design, once more, hell, the first movie Optimus looks way better than that!

Re: TF4 Age of Extinction toys
I agree... I once had all the main figures for the first 2 movies. I admit I was on the "Bay-wagon" as the hype was over the top. Then DOTM came out and I lost all interest in the Bay-formers and sold my entire movie figure collection to TFL.
Re: TF4 Age of Extinction toys
With DOTM, I didn't get much from it run, honestly, I'm not sure if I'll go to the cinema to see TF4 in cinema, thou much depends upon the trailer, honestly, I'm not sure that bay is really up to the job as a director, thou we can lay some of the blame at the script writers! I think ROTF about the height of the movie stuff with some good toys, DOTM kind of let things down, thou I think the stand out toys from that line, for me were: Skyhammer, Sentinel Prime (leader) & Shockwave

Re: TF4 Age of Extinction toys
I'll stick with my ROTF Leader Optimus, thanks. I might consider Drift and Lockdown, but not if they resemble a steaming pile of kibbly crap like Optimus here. I've got better things to spend that money on, like possibly securing Quadruple U and Smartrobin. Or maybe Warden. And I still want to get Aranea...

Re: TF4 Age of Extinction toys
Odd that you'd like him, considering he's based on G1 Brainstorm, a 'season 4' character. (the name Smartrobin is an anagram of Brainstorm)Ravage wrote:smartrobin

Re: TF4 Age of Extinction toys
why is it odd. just because I don't collect them doesn't mean I don't like them. and just because its not g1 doesn't mean anything. I hope your comments are sarcasm because I don't like them.Detective Barricade wrote:Odd that you'd like him, considering he's based on G1 Brainstorm, a 'season 4' character. Re: TF4 Age of Extinction toys
He got one hell of a backpack, aye? If it weren't for that and the oddly colored weapons, I might be into him.
Re: TF4 Age of Extinction toys
I thought it was odd because he's outside of what you've stated was your interest range, (G1 Season 1, 2, and 3 characters you like) that's all. My mistake, I'm an idiot. I'll just go shove this here brick down my throat with my foot now...Ravage wrote:why is it odd. just because I don't collect them doesn't mean I don't like them. and just because its not g1 doesn't mean anything. Re: TF4 Age of Extinction toys
A bunch of official images of figures, thou these are the simplified toys, most of them, it seems to be push one button and transform is done for you, I don't think kids will stayed hooked with those:
