it appears that Hasbro is attacking me on a personal level.
1st with the mockery of their version of a Galvatron for the AOE movie and now they are taking my custom Transformers ideas and using them!!! BASTARDS!!
 
While scrolling through the news section of Seibertron.com, I came across a list of images of some new figures that will be released with the AOE toy line. These figures will be repaints of AOE figures as well as some classic movie figures with a new paint scheme.

and it is clearly a repaint of the 2007 movie figure called Payload.
 
Back in the 2007 movie, there is a Mountain Dew soda machine that gets touched by the allspark and came to life. It transformed and began attacking people by shooting out soda cans.
I took that idea and bought the Payload figure and repainted him into a Mt Dew truck. I had a good buddy of mine make me the custom decals to give him the DEW look in trade for a copy of my custom. I actually made 3 of these custom trucks. One for my buddy, one for my brother in law and one for me.

It appears that the AOE version has a new head sculpt as well as an arm cannon. I still got some extra Mt Dew decals from all those years ago. I might actually buy the AOE verions and customize it with the DEW decals.

You should be flattered that they taken your idea, but then again, Hasbro own the rights to TF and Mountain Drew is owned by some other company and they clearly been dragged back into each other with the result of that truck! Anyway, the only figure that interests me of the Movie line aside from the Dinobots is that repaint of DOTM Jolt, now that colour scheme works a treat unlike the previous one which was down right horrible!

I am digging this dinobot mode.

He looks pretty cool, from the looks of things, his wings are able to be posed a bit, which should make for improvements upon the robot mode!

has this guy hit the stores yet?
It will probably be my only AOE figure I buy. Only because I want to custom it to a Mt. Dew truck like the one I customed years ago.

Try searching online Galvy to see if he has or hasn't hit stores!

I'm wait of leader Grimlock to become more widely available, well at least hitting Argos's stores near me!

Save your money and get the Voyager. Most reviews out there seem to point to the Voyager being better than the Leader.

I seen pics of the Voyager, personally, its not really appealing to me, I want the leader for the robot mode and his weapon, they look FAR Superior to the voyager, everything I've read or heard about the Grimlock toy say, the leader best for Robot mode while voyager best for Dino, maybe Hasbro should do a third version, much like TFPBH Predaking, thou I suspect that's unlikely, given its apart of the movie line and unlikely to get under Hasbro's simplify transformation phase, their going through!

AOE figures are already collecting dust at all of my local toy stores (wal mart, Target, TRU etc)

At the mo, for me, its Grimlock leader, but I'm being patient in regards to him, the first two Dinobots have been preordered with the generations legends class figures of IDW minibots, example Tailgate, so soon their bound to be more abundant, hell back when I had the local toy shop and ROTF was around, they had LOADS of ROTF Leader Optimus on their shelves, by that I mean a shelving display AKA one bay's worth that consisted of just that one figure reaching from top to bottom, no idea how many were behind at the time, not care as I had already acquired him, of course since then, I gone on to get Takara's Jet Wing Version which is the buster version with a revised chest and the version that has the shield and separate blades, plus the mechtech guns!

No. He's got the dumb as hell gorilla arms (inward bending elbow) and his hands don't open at all. You could, however, probably shove a top hat onto his noggin.

anything named Slash should be able to hold a guitar

I now have my first AOE figure, leader Grimlock, robot mode, pretty awesome, Dino mode, seems more an after thought, thou I do love the head sculpt for Dino mode, its lovely, impressive piece of workmanship
