Re: Live Action Movie Toys
I'll start this one off!
I'm very late to the 07 movie figures game, but I recently got 07 movie leader Prime and Megatron.
Optimus is awesome, though I see people are now giving ROTF leader Prime much more praise than the original. Still, I really like the one I now have.
Then there's Megatron. What a PISS POOR figure this is!!! Are we allowed to say PISS POOR in this forum? Meh, I'm going to call it as I see it and it really is PISS POOR.
There's the sticking out, butt ugly head.
He's so heavy he won't let me pose him other than standing straight up, waving those pitiful claws.
He's baby blue and silver... Since when did baby blue become a fitting colour for a harbinger of death?
His arms have these giant kibbly nosecones on them, what's worse they're really loose.
His gimmick is terrible; come on, a handflail?
I could've lived with the robot mode, but the alt mode really is the icing on a PISS POOR design. What exactly is this supposed to be? When I look at it I see Megatron bent over backwards, pointing his arms Superman style and squatting like he really has to...?
As for the other movie figures, some of them are really excellent! :)

Re: Live Action Movie Toys
The ROTF megatron is far superior to the old 07 one.
I don't see what's so special about the ROTF prime. There's corners cut everywhere on the figure. {The lack of posable digits on his hands for example, the 07 movie leader prime has them though.} [I'm waiting for takara's buster prime before I buy one, the gun and paint scheme make him far superior to the hasbro one.}
As for the figures themselves. Theres a lot of faults in a lot of the figures but there are some hidden gems in the lines. {Wreckage and Incinerator from the first movie line for instance}

Re: Live Action Movie Toys
The buster Prime looks really awesome, though I don't think it's been confirmed yet he'll come with that silver paintjob. Also, the head design is without the faceplate.
Des, I do think the ROTF Megatron looks way better, he has a more proper altmode, but I do think they dropped the ball on that scrawny left arm of his... Judging by the number of 'arm-fix' customs of Megatron that are popping up it looks like ROTF Megatron can be redeemed. The original however can't, premium paintjob or not.

I'm saying it might be rather difficult for him to hold his fusion cannon in his tiny left arm :lol!:
Re: Live Action Movie Toys
I got the ROTF Jolt today and following his instructions (also have been recently scanned)
I realized I can make him look a lot better by adjusting a few things.
The top pic shows the "instructions way"
The bottom pic shows "what I done"
The instructions show the vehicle doors drooped down and his front fenders opened up.
I thought this look was rather "tacky" so I closed the front fenders by folding one over the other,
then i rotated the vehicle doors to point upward. I think this look is a HUGE imporvement...
Here is Jolt striking a pose. (what a poser)
I think I realized why he wasnt in the ROTF for very long.
Look at his eyes.

Re: Live Action Movie Toys
I've got just about all the TFs that starred in the ROTF movie.
I've not bought any new ROTF figures that are not in the movie.. yet.
I need to save my pennies so I can get that Devastator. Mrs. Galvatron won't let me buy it.
Mrs. Galvatron ---> <---- Me
Does anybody know when the IceCream truck Skids and Mudflap is going to be released?
I also believe I seen a Voyager class Long Haul soon to be released.
How about the other Constructicons?
We still need a deluxe or voyager release of Scavenger, Hightower, Scrapper, and Overload.

I picked up the ice cream truck several weeks back at a super Wal-Mart. Interesting figure but the bots are teeny-tiny.
