FansProject Stunticons!

Breakdown and Wildrider will be the first set released. Prototype images were shown of these two SEVERAL MONTHS ago. Prototype images of Drag Strip and Dead End were released this morning (img#4). Nothing has been shown yet of Motormaster. And all we've seen so far for the combined mode is a shadowed silhouette. TfSource already has a "place holder" listing up, but not yet active as pricing, time table and other variables have yet to be announced. It will scale around the same height as FansProject's Bruticus and will be MUCH taller than G1 Menasor (probably equal to G1 Predaking). Sources close to FansProject have these details in hand already:

- $50 a piece for the limbs ($80 for Motormaster)
- Figures will release on a schedule of one every month or two (similar to Hercules).
- Menasor should be completed by May
- Motormaster will be voyager size with a trailer. Hands, feet, and accessories will integrate/be designed to store along the interior walls of the trailer.
- 11.5" tall in combined mode







I will sell my soul, one testicle and skin off my penis to own these~! (and I don't even give a damn if I get sigged, either) This was my favorite combiner as a child and remains that way today.

Rumor has it these will ship out in "2 packs", meaning Breakdown and Wildrider will be packaged together! Saves us the consumer on shipping costs and saves FansProject on packaging costs (which will also trickle down to us, the consumer). Win-win for everybody!

I might get these, because Hasbro is unlikely to do a Mensor that's a combiner any time soon and I believe these will be cheaper than the Devestator third party combiners, good as they look, the cost of just one of those, isn't value for money! Of course, the price is what matters most to me on some items thou I'll first most likely see about a video review to judge if they are any good, thou I have the FP upgrade kits for Superion and Bruticus, I'll still rather see a video first to judge them!

I predict these sell out at most online retailers within 48 hours of going up for pre-order. Seems like EVERYBODY on all major TF forums are chomping at the bits to get these. And with FansProject never having QC issues in any of their previous releases, along with being the most trusted name amongst 3rd party manufacturers, most people aren't going to wait for reviews before pulling the trigger. When these do sell out (and they will...and quick), I also predict a major panic frenzy amongst those unable to get their orders in. Which in turn will drive up the aftermarket price SKY HIGH!

I expect FP will do a second run because they'll want to make as much as they can from these and I bet there will be repaints down the line, of course, there might be QC issues that need resolving! One thing I do wonder, ages ago they said they were going to do a crossfire 3 which I guessed would be a upgrade for Devastator from classics/energon, so I wonder if they have shelved that idea!

Well, it looks as if these being packaged together in 2 packs was just a rumor. In package pictures surfaced today of FansProjects CA-09 "Car Crash" (aka: Breakdown) showing he's packaged alone. Good news is, usually in package pictures means a release date isn't far off!

Robot Kingdom will not be carrying this due to the year+ long boycott* FansProject has placed on them due to RK selling KO's of FansProjects toys....while FansProjects "official" versions are still on the market. Kind of a no-no, if you ask me...but hey, who is FansProject to complain about someone KO'ing off someone elses product? I'm not going to open that can o' worms right now, though.


As for Mr. Sixshot, I'll be placing my order with Captured Prey. It'll be my first order ever placed with them, but Sidecutter (on TFW2005) is a fan amongst fans and steadily keeps us updated with news, information and potential delays. Making his customer service 2nd-to-none. Captured Preys pre-orders for "Car Crash" go live tonight at Midnight ET....and you can bet I'll be there when they do go up! They'll probably have the best prices to boot, too.

*Happened with the FansProject Causality Insecticons not too long ago.

I'm thinking about getting another copy of the crossfire 2 set because I got a damaged part on my first one that leaves him unable to have the arms as they should be in the combiner form, the trouble is, that it comes down to weak area within the plastic and part design!

Ahh, so you just need Explorer (Blast Off) then? That's better than having to shell out for both pieces I guess. Are the tabs on Explorer part of the problem?

No, its one of the parts for Vortex, besides, the only way to get what I want, is to buy both together, I looked on Ebay and they can only be bought together sadly! Once I got what I want out of the kit, I can just store the rest away until such time as I choose to get rid of it or in need of another spare part!

Ditto! :woohoo: I've also ordered the Bruticus upgrade set which was pre-order as well from Kapow toys, so that I can replace that part, the rest then can go into storage for future spare parts, one never knows when he might need a spare part or two!

I hope T-bone is a little ways off by a few weeks, so that I can gather the money to get him, they aren't exactly cheep, in UK money with Kapow, they are about £50 which is about the price of what a supreme class figure use to cost!

Car Crash ran me $59.99 + $6 shipping from Captured Prey. Yeah, FansProjects prices have definitely increased in their Causality line since their Insecticons ($47.99 each) came out several months back. Rumor has it both Car Crash and T-bone are set to release this month. Car Crash is supposedly shipping out from the source Feb. 15th, so hopefully most UK/US online retailers will have it towards the end of the month, barring delays.

I'm still waiting on Captured Prey to get preorders open for CA-10 T-Bone, myself. Sidecutter (owner of CP) just responded to me on Facebook saying as soon as he gets info from FP he'll have that one open as well. He also said he's not sure why BBTS/TfSource has pre-orders open this early. Could also explain why Kapow's preorder isn't open yet, probably waiting on more official info.

As for "not"-Motormaster, nobody knows the name or seen any pictures at this point. Also there have been a few limb pictures floating around the web showing Breakdown in his "3rd mode", but nothing's been dubbed official yet, plus from what I understand Motormaster will contain ALL the combiner kibble which is built into his trailer and somehow gets integrated into his robot mode. No doubt he's going to be something special!

EDIT/RUMOR: Someone that was at TfCon last year and seen pics of Motormaster on a FansProject Representatives I-phone said that you could line up all 4 cars bumper-to-bumper and that's about the size Motormaster will be in alt. mode.

I'm still curious what Motor Master's name will be and what the combiner name will be, Wreckage?
